It's about four weeks later that Castiel returns home to Sioux Falls. It's a Thursday, nearly six o'clock in the evening, when he finally lands from his flight. Being the rich person that he is, he decided to get a limo in advance to take him to the rental car place, where he picks up a gold 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V. What that means, he has no idea, but it drives fine and he likes it.

He pulls up on the street in front of his temporary home; the house he used to share with his siblings and father before he moved out a couple years ago. He finds himself wondering if Gabriel will be there. He knows his brother will be coming up eventually; the high school reunion is this Saturday, and he has confirmation that Gabriel will be coming to that. He just doesn't know when to expect to see his brother.

Castiel hops out of the car, leaving his suitcases in the trunk for now. He wraps his sweatshirt around himself tighter. New York may be colder, but he's still freezing out here. He walks up to the door quickly, his hair blowing around in the wind. He rings the doorbell and waits for someone to let him in.

It's Samandriel who gets the door, and though Castiel is amazed every time he sees the boy by how much older he looks, he still has the cute baby face that everyone loves. With looks like that, it honestly baffles Castiel that he doesn't have a girlfriend yet.

"Hey, Castiel, you're here!" he says excitedly, stepping back to let Castiel in before pulling him into a big hug. Castiel chuckles and returns the hug without hesitation.

"I heard 'Castiel'!" Lucifer announces, appearing just moments later. "You're back!" He runs up to his younger brother and, just as Samandriel steps away, pulls Castiel into an excessively tight hug. "Don't leave me again!"

"I'm literally leaving in, like, a week and a half," Castiel reminds him.

"No! You're stuck here now!" As if to demonstrate, Lucifer hugs him impossibly tighter.

"Can't... breathe..." Castiel chokes out.

"Oh, sorry," Lucifer apologizes, letting him go. He glances around the room, if you can even call just inside the front door a room. "Guys! Castiel is here!" he yells as loudly as physically possible, and if Castiel hadn't been used to speakers blowing his eardrums out at his concerts, he might have flinched at the volume. As it is, he just gives his brother an amused smile.

Michael walks down the stairs to greet his younger brother with a less crushing hug than that of Lucifer and Samandriel's. Anna joins them as well, followed shortly after by Gabriel and Sam.

"Hey, Castiel," Sam greets him politely, the only one not giving him a hug.

"Hey, Sam. What are you doing up here?"

"I came up for the reunion, but Dean's not getting here 'til tomorrow, so I figured I'd hang out a bit before going to see Bobby."

"I forced him into it," Gabriel adds proudly.

"He did," Sam agrees.

"Hey, where's Dad?" Castiel asks randomly, noticing now that he's not out here.

"Probably writing," Lucifer replies.
"Come on, let's go parent hunting!"

Lucifer gestures for Castiel to follow, so he does. They walk in silence for a few seconds, finally broken by Lucifer.

"Hey, Castiel, wanna hear something cool?"

Castiel shrugs. "Sure."

Lucifer grins maniacally as he says, "According to all known laws of aviation, a bee should not be able to fly. It's wings are too small to lift its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway, because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. Yellow, black, yellow, black, yellow, black, yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little! Barry, breakfast is ready! Coming, hang on a second!" Lucifer pauses, looking at his younger brother in confusion. "Usually, you guys stop me by now."

Castiel shrugs. "Well, you do kinda owe me a Bee Movie."

Lucifer grins. "Awesome. Adam, Barry, can you believe this is happening?"

Random A/N Guys, you should totally check out Winchester_At_Heart 's chapter of this story on her profile because it's freaking awesome. Just throwing that out there.

Castiel finds himself wondering if he specifically set this up so that line would come next, but he soon wishes he stopped Lucifer before that anyway because he literally stands in the hallways for the next ten minutes, reciting the Bee Movie script until Castiel walks away. Lucifer just laughs and follows his brother to their dad's office, where Castiel knocks loudly a couple times.

There's some soft shuffling on the other side of the door, and finally, Chuck opens it. When he sees Castiel, he gives the boy a smile and a hug.

"Hey, Castiel. Welcome back."

"Hey, Dad," Castiel replies, withdrawing from the hug.

"Congratulations on your award," Chuck says. "Artist of the Year?"

Castiel nods. "Yeah, god knows why."

"Because you're awesome!" Lucifer yells at an unnecessarily loud volume from behind them.

"Pretty much," Chuck agrees. "We should celebrate."

Lucifer starts laughing, earning a confused look from both his brother and his father. "Sorry, just remembering the awesome way you already celebrated. Dad, I'm sure you woulda loved it."

"What was it?" Chuck asks slowly, catching on to Lucifer's sarcasm.

After shooting Lucifer a not-so-discreet glare, Castiel replies, "Just a live stream I did. Lucifer's just excited because Dean was in it, right?" The look he gives his brother is more a threat than anything.

"Yeah, exactly," Lucifer replies. "What did you think it was?"

"I don't know. Something bad, based on how you said it," Chuck tells him. "But I should have known better. You're too good a kid to do something stupid. And I'm glad you got to see Dean again, Castiel. You two are good for each other."

"You're becoming a small scale Lucifer." Castiel jokes.

Lucifer grins. "I'm so proud of you, Dad. Join the fangirl side."

Chuck gives him a confused look. "The fangirl... You know what? I don't want to know."
