Anna and Cain share a quick kiss before the latter leaves later that night. As soon as Anna shuts the door, she lets out a long breath. Everyone else stands around to see if they'll get yelled at by the hormonal teenage girl for ruining everything or if she was okay with this meeting.
"Well," Anna says slowly, "that could've gone worse."
"Then I guess I didn't try hard enough," Gabriel jokes.
"The handcuff comment, though?" Lucifer grins. He lets out a low whistle. "Nicely played, little bro."
He and Gabriel share a fist bump.
"If you make another remark like that in front of my boyfriend, someone's gonna die," Anna tells him.
Gabriel quickly hides behind Sam, whom he somehow convinced to stay. Sam chuckles at his boyfriend, shaking his head in amusement.
"Sam," Michael says hesitantly. "At the risk of sounding like a gossiping high school girl, can I ask what happened with you and Cain?"
"Nothing," Sam replies, not in a dismissive way but as if literally nothing has transpired between them. "Why?"
"You two just seemed... unfriendly," Michael tells him.
"Not really," Sam replies. "I mean, we were never really friends, but we're fine."
"Right..." Michael replies, not seeming to believe it but not pushing.
"I'm going to take a shower and go to bed," Anna announces, walking away.
"Seriously?" Lucifer says in surprise, glancing at the clock. "It's barely seven o'clock."
Anna shrugs. "I'm tired. 'Night."
Once she's out of earshot, Lucifer asks, "How much you wanna bet she'll spend the next five hours on her phone?"
"Or she stayed up late on her phone last night," Michael suggests. "Maybe she really is tired."
"I'm guessing both," Castiel replies. "Phones are taking over our generation."
"But they're so much fun!" Gabriel adds.
(A/N Remember when Gabriel's name was Phone? Ah, good times. Well, Cas was pretty much going insane but whatever. Good times anyway.)
(A/N pt. 2 I think I had a plan for the rest of the conversation but I went to bed after the first A/N and now I forget if I actually had anything planned. I feel like I'm doing this a lot lately... Oops...)

Gabriel and Sam spend the next forever chatting in the room Castiel shares with Gabriel, leaving the other boy feeling awkward because he can't interrupts their Sabriel moment, so he can't go to bed, and he's been tired for the last five years and would like nothing more than to sleep. Instead, he sits down on the couch in the living room and pulls out his phone to check the Twitterverse, not because anything interesting is happening but because it's a fun way to pass the time. As the fabulous David Haydn-Jones would say, it's time to do some mention homework.
Having a @CastielNovak music marathon today
Castiel smiles to himself. Well, that's a nice way to start his Twitter surfing. He gives the tweet a like as a thank you before scrolling to the next.
This Claire chick seems awesome. @CastielNovak really lucked out with her lol
It takes Castiel a moment to realize they would know something about Claire because she made the video on Facebook about the rape accusations. He should watch that, actually. He hasn't yet.
