Castiel surfs through the Twitter world the next day, checking out responses for his new collab. A lot of them seem focused on Taylor Swift, probably because it's technically her single, and for the most part, the posts using the hashtag are all positive. He senses a common theme among the ones mentioning his name.

"Lol remember when we thought Castiel and Taylor hated each other?"

"Castiel threw shade at his own song last week what?"

"I love how the Casdom was rioting about this song and then they realized Castiel was in it."

"I can't tell if Castiel hating on this was a joke or if he's just an awkward muffin who doesn't realize he's awesome."

"Pretty sure Castiel's 'Great...' was just because he was disappointed she acted like it was just hers."

"Castiel said he didn't like this song? But it's his? So was it a joke? Was he lying? Is he going to collab with everyone he's dissed?" That makes it sound like a lot of people, but other than his longstanding feud with Bela, he hasn't really talked crap to a lot of people.

"What happened to the Castiel-Taylor feud? I am confused?"

"I was all prepared to defend Castiel's honor but apparently he was in this song?"

The majority of tweets involving him are of this nature — questioning their friendship, wondering what his deal was with the sarcastic remark, et cetera. There was one conspiracy theory that he saw about how there's no music video because the fallout between them happened after they recorded it, so they didn't want to waste their hard work but also didn't want to talk to each other long enough to put a video together, but otherwise, people seem to have deemed this whole thing a very weird joke. In reality, it's actually a life lesson, but he'll get there soon.

The most popular tweet using the hashtagged name of the song that didn't come from Taylor Swift, her management team, or Castiel is from Lucifer, which is no surprise. The song came out at midnight, but Lucifer apparently didn't hear it until around nine this morning, because that's when he tweeted about it — and very enthusiastically.

"I just heard #ILostHim and THIS IS AMAZING OH MY GAWD THEIR VOICES SOUND SO GOOD TOGETHER AND THE LYRICS ARE BEAUTIFUL I AM IN LOVE!"

Castiel goes to reply to that, but he pauses when he sees Lucifer already has, adding something else.

"I'm sorry I never told you they collabed but in my defense I've known for about fifteen minutes and you've known for over nine hours so really you should be apologizing to me."

As a third reply, he added, "No, seriously, Castiel never told me this was going to be a thing. I'm just as surprised as you guys tbh."

Castiel replies to the end of his thread with, "It wouldn't be a surprise if you knew, and where's the fun in that?" He also wasn't sure he trusted Lucifer to keep it a secret, not because he thought his brother would just out him on it, but because fans can think of some insane conspiracies based on the smallest things, and sometimes they're right. Castiel doesn't want to ruin the game like that.

He spends an unhealthy amount of time on Twitter, giving out likes as if they were spare change. He sees a bit of hate towards the song, but between the Swiftie fandom and the Casdom, those remarks are few and far between.

Eventually, he puts his phone away, because he's getting a headache from staring at his screen for so long. He decides to do something productive, and unlike the last fifty times he's said that, he actually means it.

He's been putting off deciding whether or not he's going on tour, but he's finally deciding that yes, he will, because this album is so extra, and it will make for a good show. It's basically just a bunch of exaggerated parts of his personality or what people think he's like all wrapped up in a nice bow — or, in this situation, a nice CD case. He could make each song a drastically different performance to fit with the theme.

He pulls out his notebook and a pencil and starts writing down how he's going to work this out. He can have costume changes, props, cool lighting tricks — the whole nine yards. Each song can be like a whole new person is performing. It's going to be so extra, and so much fun. He hasn't been this excited for going on tour since the first time he did it.
