A/N I'm updating twice, so make sure you read last chapter

It's not very long after calling out the article about Dean that he gets a response from both people he mentioned in the tweet.

Lucifer replies almost immediately with, "Who tf is hating on Deano? I've known the guy for years, and can confirm that Castiel is in good hands with him. If that ever changes... Well, I'll be sure to have an alibi."

Castiel chuckles. Oh, Lucifer. What would they do without him? He doesn't hesitate to give the tweet a like, then retweets it to ensure that the point is made.

It's almost immediately that Lucifer replies to his own response with, "It occurs to me that my only public interaction with him is when I made him the half dead prisoner in a vid but I swear that was nothing personal.

Castiel can't help but laugh. That's actually true, now that he's thinking about it. Wow. He needs to get Dean and Lucifer out in public together more.

Dean replies to the initial tweet shortly after with, "Pretty cool? Wow, thanks for the enthusiasm."

Castiel can read the sarcasm in it, and he has to hope everyone else can, too. He tweets back, "Okay, how about: 'Dean's the most awesome person I've ever met in the history of ever!"

There's about a minutes' pause before, "Alright, carry on."

Just to be a dork, Castiel replies, "(My wayward son.)" It's going to be weird for people who have never heard the song before, but that's okay. Dean will understand, and that's all that matters.

He gets a response shortly after saying, "There'll be peace when you are done."

Castiel smiles to himself. How much of the song is Dean willing to "sing"? Well, he'll find out soon enough.

"Lay your weary head to rest..."

"Don't you cry no more."

Castiel is about to start with, "Once I rose above the noise and confusion," but he stops himself. He's missing a very vital part of the song.

"Drum drum, drum drum, D R U M !"

Dean tweets back, "Awesome ~50 second guitar solo."

Castiel can't help but wonder how the hell he knows how long the guitar solo is. Only Dean would know that off the top of his head.

"Once I rose above the noise and confusion..."

"... Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion!"

"I was soarin' ever higherrrr!"

"But I flew too high..."

"Masquerading as a man with a reason."

There's a bit of a pause after that, longer than the previous ones, and just as Castiel decides he's not going to get a response, he does.

"You just completely skipped a verse. I hope you know that."

Wait, he did? He exits out of Twitter and opens the music app instead, starting up Carry On My Wayward Son. While it's open, he checks the length of the guitar solo, and sure enough, it's just over 50 seconds. Wow, talk about a know it all.
