You and Bowser went to bed after taking care of Claire the entire afternoon. You never really had much time to spend with her, because you had your queen and king duties to attend to. Plus, you had a nanny that absolutely adored Claire. You closed your eyes and slowly began to fall asleep.

You woke up and heard footsteps in the hallway. You paused for a moment, just to listen to see what they were up to. You heard the footsteps get faster, as if they had silently been following someone. You shook Bowser's shoulder, trying to wake him up. Bowser rubbed his eyes and yawned.

"Whaaattttt..." He groaned with an annoyed tone.

"Someone broke into the castle." You whispered.

Bowser was silent for a moment, and you both heard the exact same footsteps.

"Stay behind me." He warned.

You slowly hoisted yourself out of bed, quickly looking over at the digital clock on your bedside table. It was exactly 2:15 in the morning. You slowly followed Bowser down the hallway. You  soon spotted the burglar, stealthily walking throughout the hallway, observing the various architectural designs, the various decor, and the occasional oil painting. This criminal was stupid, because they didn't even have a sac of loot to carry any of the things they had seen. You began to observe the thief, trying to put all the clues together to find out who on earth this thief actually was. They were tall, thin, and petite at the same time. The thief was dressed in all black, but their clothing did look on the expensive side. Nothing that could help with identifying the thief was available, except for the part about them being tall, thin, and somewhat wealthy.

"This is boring. I know you're here." Bowser growled, being impatient as always.

The thief looked behind themselves in absolute fear. Their blue eyes widened as they stared at us, not making a single move. The castle was dead silent. You couldn't hear anything and it felt as if you had become deaf. Without any hesitation whatsoever, the thief bolted and began to run downstairs towards the main entrance. You both began to chase after them, running as fast as your legs could carry yourself. You tripped on a few steps because it was dark, and you had hurt your arm. You screeched in agony, not able to feel any relief. Everyone who had rooms in the main entrance opened their doors and looked to see what the matter was. The lights were soon turned on, but the thief was no where to be found. Bowser had ended up carrying you down the rest of the stairs and ran for the basement door, which had the lock that was usually on it thrown on the floor like a discarded toy. Bowser slowly walked down the stairs and as you got closer, you could hear voices and metal clashing. You couldn't quite hear what they had even been saying, but Dani definitely must have been talking the most, because you couldn't hear her rescuer's voice. Bowser made it to the dungeon. The rescuer flinched, as they had almost putting the key in the lock.

"I at least want a proper fight." Bowser demanded.

The rescuer shook their head, obviously too chicken to fight Bowser.

"This is the small price you must pay if you break into my house and kidnap one of my prisoners." Bowser frowned.

Dani shot an angry look to her rescuer, and the rescuer sighed with a nod.

It had all happened far too quickly to keep up with, but you were sitting in a far corner, watching the rescuer attempt to fight Bowser. Dani was in a cage that had been pulled up really high. You had once been in that cage a few years ago, but that was forever ago, and you had been much younger. This battle in particular had a vibe that it wasn't going to last very long, compared to the times that Bowser had fought Mario and Haru. This rescuer didn't even look tough at all. They literally had no muscles and did not look ready for a fight.
