My palms were soaked with blood as I try to stop the wound for bleeding. He’s loosing soo much blood, I even doubt he’ll survive.

He tried to protect me, to protect our child.

I knew it was going to happen, I had been warned before I left home, my real home and pack.

Fate had decided my future. Our future if I choose to leave and now I must pay the price of my own chooses.

But if I stayed, I will loose them, I will never see them or anyone I cared for, for eighteen years of my life.

I made my decision and I thought I was ready to fight fate, to fight what was meant to happen.

But I was wrong.

There are things that can never be changed.

It was destined.

I should have never left to see them. I should had stayed back home and continue to help out wipe the hunters. I should have waited until it was over.

But it had been soo long since I felt their arms around me, their smile, their kindest and their voice. I wanted to hear them laugh or argue over little things or how they pampered me when I get hurt.

Three years was too long.

Writing wasn’t enough to satisfy myself. I wasn’t allowed to make phone calls. The pack was secretive.

The Council had been trying to get to us but not to help us but to forever wipe the Hemmings. They’re scared, scared that their power to rule will be taken away from them.

The Council that have every strongest creature that walk the planet are scared because the Hemmings have a secret. A secret that goes way back to their ancestors as well as ours and the blood that runs through our veins.

The Hemmings that everyone is scared of and the strongest out of them but even so, with the Hemmings blood, fate can never be changed.

Fate that tied each and every decision we made.

“Cherry.” His voice had gone rough and husky as he cough out blood. “I want you to live and be happy.” He whispers. “I…I’m sorry.”

“No!” I cried. “You can’t do this to me! To our baby!”

“I…I can’t hold on much longer. You must let me go.” His voice was barely audible to human ears as he continues to whispers.

“Please, fight back.” I begged as I sob. “I need you, we need you!”

He cough harder, letting out more blood from his mouth as he slowly close and open his eyes. “He’ll take good care of you and our baby. I know he will.” He whispers. “I love you, remember that.”

I nod my head and sniff. “I love you too.” I lean down and kiss his mouth, tasting the metal taste of his blood against my lips. “I love you soo much.”

He smiles up to me and reach out. I grab his bloody hand and press me cheek against it as I look at his happy face. “I’ll always watch over you and our child.” He whispers.

I nod my head and smile, my throat felt dry as a sob escapes my mouth.

I watch him close his eyes, a smile still present before his hand slowly slips from my gasps.

“No!” I cried out and was about to lunged to his body when I felt to arms wrap around my waist. “No! Don’t leave us!” I begged. “Please! Please wake up!”

I felt him press their face against my shoulder blade as he held me down. He didn’t say anything but his present was comforting but it wasn’t enough to stop the guilt.

This is my entire fault. I thought as I slowly drop on my knees.

“Cherry.” He whispers my name but my eyes had stayed with my mate’s dead body. “This isn’t your fault.” He reassured but I knew better because I knew.

I knew the truth.
