I woke up at the sound of running footsteps and the sound of laughter, along with the smell of barbeque. My stomach decide to make the most embarrassing and loud cry of hunger.

Opening my eyes, the first thing I saw was my blinds were pulled back and my window opened. I’m not sure when I opened it or if I even open it in the first place but I was sure the sunlight was blinding me.

Jumping out of the bed, I walk to the window and looked outside. I shake my head as I realise that there are things that never change as the first thing I realise was the amount of jock and bimbos has increase and walking around the yard like they owe the place.

They push, laugh and pull pranks at everyone they see as their target at the far side of the yard, where the adults wouldn’t see them.

Rolling my eyes, I push myself away from the window and walk to my suitcase. Staring at the suitcase, I debate to either unpack my stuff or leave as it is.

“Unpack.” I mumble after a long mental debate.

Ten minutes later, my suitcase is empty while my wardrobe has more extra clothes in it. As graceful as I can, I shoved the suitcase under my bed before grabbing some clean underwear and a towel.

Half an hour later I was ready. I have my makeup on to a barely there makeup, my natural curls is straighten with a slight curl at the end and have my sandals on that match my dress perfectly.

Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I calm all my nerves.

I’m home and they will be here. I thought before chanting ‘I can do this’ three times in my head.

“I can’t!” I groan opening my eyes in frustration as I pace around my room.

How would they react when they see me? I thought.

Are they going to be glad that I’m back? I ask myself before letting out another groan. Of course not! I left them without a word and barely talked to them for the pass years. I scold myself.

Great! Now I’m talking to myself!

Thinking about no other option, I took another deep breath and this time, I stepped out of my room with as much confidence that I can mustered.

Everyone I pass on the corridors was strangers to me and as I am to them but they smile and greeted me but not before looking surprise and confuse to whom I am. But when I reach the kitchen, it was a different story.

Everyone in the kitchen wasn’t strangers; in fact they were family from both Crescent pack and the old Greenwood pack.

At first, they barely look at me until they glance my way the second time that they stopped talking and just stare. Eyes wide with shock and mouth open.

“It can’t be.” I heard someone mumbles while followed by “I thought she died”.

I frown at the second guess of what they thought of me before wiping my face with any trace of emotion. Something I learn while I was with my parents. They told me again and again it will come in handy especially while using my powers.

The powers that awakens too soon, taking me away from my mates and the pack. The powers that I mastered in three years with the help of my biological parents and the rest of the Hemmings.

But those powers have no use in this situation. I’m all alone in this one. I thought as I look at everyone’s shocks face.

“Hey.” I said casually.

This seems to snap a few of them back to reality as some greets me back and even smile while others continues to stare at me like I have done the most craziest and unbelievable stun.
