Three days had pass since I sent the letter and still no news. It normally takes a day or two for the letter to arrive. I had check the same place at the same time I stick mine there and yet, I got no news from my parents and for once I felt like they let me down.
I walked back to the pack house and grunt. Nathan had let me off the shift for a while because also knew I'm at the end of my wits and he even make sure I have Emma with me all the time to calm me down. The pack doctors had advice and prescription that will help the baby and one of the advices was not to get stress because it's bad for the baby, so I was told.
"Any news?" Emma said as I walk in the play room - a room that been built about a year ago and design for the kids - and she knew where I had been going to for the pass three days after all we use to write to each others when I was away.
I shake my head disappointed while Emma gently placed her hand over mine and gave me a reassuring smile. I smile at her, telling her that I'm alright before we jump as Athena walks in screaming her heads off and making some younger toddlers cry in fright. "Athena!" Emma scold as her twins cried the loudest.
"Sorry." She said sheepishly. "But I got great news!"
Emma rolls her eyes and said teasingly, "If that's about those celebs you been watching, I'm going to skin you."
"Hey! I don't always gush about them!" Athena said defensively before looking at me for confirmation. "Do I?" I bite the bottom off my lip and gave her the 'you kind of do' look. "Well, I'm not on about that this time."
"Then what is these so important news that you us to go deaf?" I said with a smirk.
"I'm pregnant!" Athena said excitedly and at the corner of my eyes, I saw Emma about to scream but stop it by slapping my hands over her mouth which she gave me a glare while I gave the kids a pointed look.
"Congratulation!" Emma said after I remove my hand. "How long?"
"Exactly two months!"
"I'm happy for you!" I said and gave her a friendly hug.
"Joey was so ecstatic when I told him. He even starts planning on decorating the baby's room!" Athena said as she sat down and looked at the kids lovingly. "I been waiting for years for this and when I didn't get pregnant right after the mating I thought I wasn't going to have any kids."
"I know how you feel." Emma said and rubs Athena's back as she slowly got emotional.
Everyone knows that it only takes a week before a female werewolf gets pregnant after the mating. Nothing can stop them from getting pregnant, not condoms or birth control pills and it also doesn't work when the mate is human and she even have implant.
The pack doctors around the world had studies this for years and yet they still couldn't find anything to delay the pregnancy. Many male werewolves always want to mark what's theirs but still not ready for family yet but they can't mark their mate because the female werewolf's hormones will be ten times stronger to resist her.
But if the male mate is the human it seems to be a different story, the female can only mark the male after she is mark but since the male is human they have to turn the male to one of us which is at least a year process and sometimes can be very deadly. Some doesn't even go there because of fear of loosing their love ones.
However, the changing process can be very easy if s/he is one hundred percent sure that s/he really ones to be one of us - meaning no second thoughts or doubts - and healthy enough to go through the process.
Emma, Athena and I were so engross to picking names for her baby that can be a unisex name that we didn't hear the shuffling footsteps until Nathan burst through the door of the playroom, panting heavily.
