Just a quick reminder, to those who read The Popular Outcast story. I deleted the story because I’m not happy with how things are going but I promise you all that I will re-upload the story but hopefully it will be better than the first original draft I thought. :D

Alex POV

“Cherry” I whispers near her ear. I watch as she frown as roll to her other side before finding another comfortable position for her as she uses me as her pillow.

She’s been asleep for an hour now after playing hide and seeks with the children. Today we were place on duty to look after the children along with two other partners, all of them are newly mated.

It was part of the Crescent pack rules and since we joined their pack, all old members of theGreenwoodpack have to follow the same rule. To Nathan it was like training, so when we have a child of our own we know what to do.

“Cherry, you need to wake up.” I tried one more time before chuckling as Cherry mumbles ‘five more minutes’. “We need to get back any minute now.” Cherry groan but pull herself up and stretch without care.

At the corner of my eyes I saw two mated partner. The guy was from a different pack that was travelling along with his old pack when he found his mate in our pack. They were whispering very low but not low enough to be unheard by a wolf with alpha blood and the Hemmings.

I knew Cherry can hear them as she frown, clearly annoyed. This triggers something in me as I let out one powerful warning low growl. I knew they heard me as their body tense up. Cherry looks at me with a blank look but in her eyes I can see she’s grateful.

It doesn’t bother you huh? I thought as I raise one eyebrow up.

Cherry playfully smack my shoulder before getting up to help gathers all the children up and making them all line up in two straight lines. “Come one everyone, we need to get back now!” She shouts. The children whined but all line up.

I got up from my spot, stretching my dead leg before looking around the field. For the pass few weeks, no hunter is attacking not even the weakest pack has been attack which starting to scare everyone.

Alex? Cherry asked through the mind-link, snapping me out of my thoughts.

Yes, my love? I ask, looking at her.

Cherry frown at the word ‘my love’, she always said she hated it but I can see a spark of happiness in her eyes whenever I say it. Are you alright?

I nod my head and took a quick stride next to her before wrapping my arm around her waist. “Come on before it starts to rain.” Cherry didn’t say anything but nod her head before looking and the children. “We all have to hurry because it’s going to rain soon so no fooling around, okay?” She shouts while the children shout ‘okay’ in a very loud and excited voice.

By the time we reached the pack house, all the parents were waiting for their kids and that’s when everything went chaotic. The kids start running around in different direction shouting ‘mama’ or ‘papa’ in their high pitched voice.

For a normal human the sound is nothing but for werewolves with sensitive hearing that’s like blowing a whistle next to your ear. Even the parents wince at the sound before composing their expression. After five or ten minutes all the parents were gone with their children.

“Peace and quiet!” I said as I run into my room and jump onto my bed. Cherry close the door behind her while giggling like a little girl. I lay on my back and watched her until she look at me and smile shyly. “Come here.”

Cherry didn’t hesitate this time, she jump onto the bed and into my arms. I hugged her closer to me and kiss her forehead. I only have her for another three days, three days where Brian won’t interrupt us before I won’t see her for a week.

I knew its torturing Brian by now, not able to see her for a week or even talk to her in the mind link. It was Nathan’s order and disrespecting an alpha’s order can kick you out of the pack and every other pack will know making impossible to find a new pack.

“I will miss you.” I mumble while Cherry hugged me tighter.

She didn’t say anything, she can’t anyway. She’ll be with Brian, her other mate which is going to make her feel whole even if I’m not around.

“I still don’t understand why you have two second mates.” I said as I kiss her forehead. Cherry tense up and when I look at her, I knew she knows something but the look on her face told me not to ask. I sigh and said, happily, “Oh well, I still got you for three days!”

That’s when I attacked her. I tickled her side as she laughs and beg for me to stop but I didn’t I tickled her again and again. There were tears forming at the corner of her eyes but I didn’t stop not until Cherry flip us over.

She sat on top of me, both her legs next to my waist, securing me into place while she pinned both of my hands on the bed. Her face was so near to mine to the point I can feel her heat and feel her breathe.

I kiss her.

She didn’t fight me, in fact she kiss me with the same hunger as I felt for her. I flip both of us around without breaking the kiss. It was my turn to pin her down. Slowly I felt small trails of kisses on the side of her neck making her moan.

“Alex, please.” She moans and when I look into her eyes I saw lust. Without thinking I kissed her lips again and what happen after seems to be a blur.

I couldn’t remember what happen but I knew we didn’t do it. I couldn’t do it. I pulled myself away from her as she watches me with a pain expression.

“I’m sorry Cherry, I can’t do it.” I said as I start pacing in my room. “I wanted to but it would be unfair for Brian.” I continued on.

I wanted to mark her, make her mine so Brian can never have her but I knew it was wrong. My parent’s had always told me to respect the others, that we have to give everyone a fair treatment.

I heard the bed squeak but I didn’t look at it. I knew Cherry got up of the bed but I was too distracted by my thought but not for too long. I felt Cherry’s arm wrap around my waist, stopping me from pacing.

When I finally look at her, I expect disappointment, anger, annoyance and even regret but what I didn’t expect to see in her eyes was the proud look she had on along with love.

“I understand.” She whispers and gave me a quick peck on the lips. “Come on, we have to get ready for dinner.” I couldn’t say anything so I nod my head and followed her around my room like a lost puppy.
