I watch her sleep as she snuggle her head closer to my chest under the warm duvet. It’s been two days since me, Cherry and Brian agreed to let Cherry sleep in our room once a week in one month.

I get the first week while Brian gets the following week. The rest of the weeks are spent to whoever Cherry decide to sleep with – not hooking up, just going to sleep, no sex at all much to my dismay.

I am glad that I did win the match to go first but I wasn’t glad about the rumours that were going around. No one else from the pack knows about Cherry’s past except from me, her adopted parents and their children, Nathan, Arvin, the twins Leo and Lee, Tyler, Brian and a few old members of the Greenwood pack.

Everyday, the rumours had gone too far to the point I nearly shift near some kids after I heard one of the rumours. They even start calling her name such as whore, sluts and bitch. But Cherry dismisses them like they were nothing.

She told me once not to bother about it and I told her I’ll try but that doesn’t mean I like to hear what they have to say about my mate…our mate since I know Brian thinks the same thing.

“You have been staring at me.” Cherry’s sleepy voice brought me out of my daze. “What time is it?” Rather than answering, I smile at her and tuck a stray strand of her hair behind her ear and kiss her forehead. Cherry frown at me and slightly pout her lips, something she does when she’s concern. “What’s wrong?”

“It’s nothing.” I mumble without taking my eyes off her lovely face. “I was only thinking.”

Cherry sat up tilting her head to the side with the same expression on her face. “Is this something to do with those rumours?”

This time I look away from her face and sigh before averting my gaze to the ceiling. “I just hate hearing it when they don’t even know you or what’s really going on. I hate it when I hear them call you those names.” I spat the last words as anger consumes me.

Cherry quickly stroke my cheeks gently, calming me not much though. “I really don’t care as all as I know you and the others don’t think about me like what they call me.”

I look into her eyes and saw the love in it and I couldn’t help what happened next. Even for me it was all fuzzy and blurry.

One minute I was staring at her eyes like a love sick puppy and the next thing I know I attack her lips which thank god she return it with the same hunger I felt for her.

I wanted her for soo long and I been trying to win her over. Sure Brian and I got closer when she disappear but doesn’t mean I don’t get jealous when she pays more attention to him than me.

I like Brian, I know she deserved him better than me but I still wish deep down that she’ll love me more after all I was the first second mate but then I messed things up. I admit what I did before was foolish and stupid but I thought it was for the best.

That’s why I couldn’t help myself as I deepen the kiss and my hand found its way to remove my and her top off.

I was scared.

Scared, I might loss her to him. It doesn’t take a genius to see how much they love each other. Everyone can see it, everyone say they’re good together.

But right now, I just wanted it just to be me and her. No one else but fate seems to have a different plan because just when I start kissing her neck and hearing her sweet moans. The messenger interrupts us by calling us for an urgent meeting.

Cherry blushed furiously under me while I hang my head in defeat. She clears her throat and said after, “We should get ready.” I sigh and let my body drop next to her while she sat up looking around the floor.

“Do you want me to get you some clothes in your room?” I offer as she busied herself by looking for her t-shirt. She nod but the blush on her face seems to brighten. “Go take a shower. I’ll be back in a minute.” I said and press my lips on her temple.

I got up my bed and walk to her room which was between Brian and mine room. I unlock the door with the spare key she gave me and Brian and close the door behind me as I groan.

I was soo close. I thought.

Cherry’s POV

After Alex left his room, I stop pretending to look for my top and ran to his bathroom and lock the door. My face was still warm as I flush bright red. We almost did it and not mention the fact that I was enjoying every second of it.

Unconsciously I relax that I was tracing the places where Alex kissed my neck making blush even more.

I knew I was falling for him and Brian and here I thought spending a week with them every night will help me decide. I snort at that thought before stripping the rest of my clothes which wasn’t a lot. Seeing as I was only in my underwear.

I was just washing my hair when there was a knock on the door and Alex voice in my head. Where do you want me to leave your clothes?

The bed? I answered with a question and I can already imagine him rolling his eyes like he recently has been doing whenever I answer him with a question.

I’ll leave it on the bed. Do you want me to get you something to eat?

This time I knew the answer straight off as my stomach rumbles. Yes please.

I’ll be back in a minute.

Taking this as an opportunity, I finish my shower as quick as possible and getting change before Alex comes back. By the time he did come back, I was dress and trying to dry my hair with a towel.

“I cook you some bacon, egg, beans and toast, crust off just the way you like it.” He said passing me the plate. “I’m going to take a shower now, if you want to dry your hair, I got a hairdryer on the top drawer.”

“You have a hairdryer?” I ask shocked.

Alex frowns and nods. “Cherry, not because I’m a guy doesn’t mean I don’t know how to use one of those beside I used to use it when my hair was long.”

“You had long hair?” Again, I ask but this time in disbelief.

“Yeah, just before we joined theGreenwoodpack.” He mumbles before disappearing into the bathroom. Who knew Alex used to have long hair? I thought before multi-tasking between hair drying and eating.
