Chapter 3: California and Premiere

"We're here!" I exclaimed, "this house is even better than our house in Michigan!"

Taylor chuckled and put his arm around my waist and hugged me to him. "I'm glad you like it. We are going to be here more often than we're in Michigan so I thought this should be a little bigger than our house in Michigan."

"It's beautiful," I smiled.

We walked into the house to find most of our stuff already packed in. Taylor and I both looked around and the rest of the Lily Rosebuds jumped out from behind the couch.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.

"Aren't you happy to see us?" Beth asked.

"Yeah," Adrian said, "and we walked a whole 6 blocks to get here."

"You guys live that close now?!"

"Of course!" Grace said, "If we're going to have a kickass music career, we're going to have to live near each other."

"This is so great!" I said, "Everything's going to be SO incredible!"

"So you guys are the ones that moved our stuff in?" Taylor asked.

"The truck was here and the drive knew that if anyone was able to get into this house and yard that we'd have to be friends or family. We figured we'd help you guys out." Beth said.

"Thanks," Taylor said.

"Thank you guys," I said, "I love you guys."

"We know," Adrian said.

"We love you too," Grace said.

"Well we're going now," Beth said, "have a good night! See you tomorrow at the premiere!"

"You're going to?" I asked.

"Of course we're going!" Beth said.

"Bye!" they yelled as they walked out the door.

I threw my arms around Taylor's neck and hugged him. He hugged me back and kissed me on the cheek. I pulled away, but just as I did Taylor kissed me softly.

As we pulled away I asked, "So does this house have any cool rooms like our house in Michigan?"

"Well," he smiled, "the pool here is outdoors, but there is one room I think you will find fascinating."

"Really?" I asked, "like what?"

"Follow me," he smiled.

He took my hand and we walked up the stairs. I was very confused when we stood in front of a blank wall. He chuckled at me when he saw the look on my face and turns out it was a door. He opened it and revealed a spiral staircase. I looked over at him, but he just held onto my hand tighter and starting walking up the stairs.

When we got to the top I realized why he knew I would like it so much. It was my photography room and he already put up all the pictures. It was a circular room with the ceiling really being a window. It was so beautiful. He put a desk as best as he could against part of the wall and had my camera sitting on it.

"You did this?" I asked, "but we just got here."

"I gave your friends specific instructions," he said.

"So they didn't just do this because they wanted to?" I asked.

"The rest of the house they did. I only told them to do this room as a surprise."

"It's so beautiful," I said. I wandered around the room, not letting go of Taylor's hand. I could tell he was staring at me as I looked around at the beautiful job that they had done.

We relaxed for the rest of the night, and his mom and my stylist showed up early the next morning.

"Ready to go?" the stylist asked, "I'm Ann."

"Hi," I smiled, "nice to meet you. Let me just go get my purse."

I walked back into my room and picked up my purse. I leaned over Taylor and kissed him goodbye. He woke up just enough to say goodbye before falling back asleep.

My new stylist already had a store in mind at where to buy my dress so they drove right there and started picking out all kinds of dresses for me to try on. I quickly gave back any dress that was orange or brown or green. An hour or two later I had a beautiful blue dress picked out that looked even better than I expected it to.

I quickly hid the dress in the closet and went to find Taylor who was hanging out in the pool. "Back already?" he smiled, "want to join me for a swim?"

"I don't think so," I said. Instead I sat on one of the chairs next to the pool. I tried to avoid getting wet, but Taylor was soon right in front of me.

"What are you doing?" I laughed.

"I missed you."

"I was only gone for a few hours," I laughed.

"Yeah but you do realize that's the longest we've been apart since your tour started?"

"Has it?" I smiled, "that's a long time in that case."

"It is," he said, leaning closer to me. I smiled back and he took that as an okay to kiss me. I laughed and quickly squealed when he picked me up and brought me into the pool. We both came up from the water and I pushed him back down before getting out of the pool.

"Hey now!" he yelled.

"I'm soaking wet!" I turned around and yelled.

He quickly sensed my anger and ran after me. "I'm sorry," he apologised. He stepped in front of me again and apologised a second time. "Lil, talk to me."

"No," I whined.

He put both hands on my arms, "Babe, look at me." He waited until I looked at him before he continued, "I'm sorry. Would it help if I replace your clothes?"

I laughed and hugged him, my head resting against his chest. "It's okay," I mumbled.

"Good. I'd hate for you to be mad at me."

When we got to the premiere we walked the right carpet first and stopped for pictures. Taylor's arm was around my waist. After a few pictures we continued walking the red carpet and met the rest of the Rosebuds at the end.

"You look amazing!" Beth and Adrian both exclaimed. They all pulled me into a hug before we continued into the premiere. We took our seats and Taylor immediately held my hand and leaned into me giving me our first kiss of the night. We both smiled and he kissed me one more time before we separated. I laid my head on his shoulder as we enjoyed the rest of the movie.
