Chapter 2: First Night

"So what do you want to do now?" Taylor asked.

"I don't know," I said. I plopped down on our new couch next to him. All of our furniture looked so amazing in our house. This is the biggest house I've ever lived in. There are three bedrooms, a large kitchen, an indoor pool, and a living room overlooking a pond.

"It's been a long day. Want to just go to bed?"

I yawned, "Probably. I am really tired."

"Okay," he chuckled, "let's go."

As I tried to stand up he picked me up off the couch and carried me up the stairs. I giggled as he put me down on the bed and got underneath the blankets.

The sun was shining in my room as I woke up. I looked out the window and smiled at the sight of the snow melting off the ground. I rolled over and noticed that Taylor was gone. In his place was a small note.

Lil-

I didn't want to wake you, you looked so peaceful. I'll be back around 9. I love you.

-Taylor

He's so cute. I took the note and got out of bed, still giggling at how adorable I thought it was. I changed into a new pair of shorts, brushed my hair, and walked downstairs. It was 9:30 so Taylor should be home by now. I walked into the kitchen, smelling something really good. When I walked in, Taylor was at the stove cooking.

"What are you making?" I asked. Apparently I scared him, because he jumped before turning around.

He smiled, "good morning beautiful."

"Are you making me breakfast?" I smiled.

"Yes I am. Scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast."

"It smells good."

He put the plates on the table and we both sat down to eat. "So what are we doing today?" I asked.

"Well...today is our last day of freedom before we have to fly to California to move our things into our other house."

"I forgot," I smiled, "our other house."

He chuckled, "yes, our other house. Which is where the rest of your photos are waiting for you. We have two days to move things in then we have the premiere of my movie to go to. My mom helped me hire you a stylist so the second day that we're moving in, you'll be going shopping with her to find a dress."

"Sounds like a deal," I said, "I can't wait! This new life is so exciting! I love it!"

"I'm glad you think so because I love having you here."

The rest of our day consisted of me separating my clothes so I would have clothes at both houses. Every once and a while Taylor would interrupt and try to disturb my packing by throwing things out of my suitcase. It took twice as long to pack my stuff because a half hour later my clothes were all over the room. When I did finally finish packing, we both went into the pool again for a swim which is where we spent the rest of the day. I was so exhausted that we spent the night in our room watching a movie. It was Taylor's turn to pick so he picked a scary movie: The Messengers.

I jumped again for the fourth or fifth time and Taylor laughed again. "Stop laughing!" I hit him.

"I'm sorry!" he chuckled.

"Why do we have to watch a scary movie?" I asked, "I hate scary movies."

"Don't worry," he said, "you can cuddle up next to me."

"Good," I said holding onto him tighter. My head was resting on his chest and I closed my eyes as another scary part came on. I could hear how hard Taylor was trying not to laugh again. I clutched onto his shirt and I felt his clasp on me get tighter too.

I woke up an hour later with my head still on Taylor's chest. I looked up and he was asleep. I put my hand on his shoulder and brought myself up to kiss him on the cheek, causing him to wake up.

I smiled, "we both fell asleep this time."

"Yes we did," he smiled back, "what time is it?"

"I don't know, I just woke up."

"Good then let's go back to sleep."

"The TV's still on, let me turn it off," I said.

I moved away to get up, but Taylor pulled me back down. "Just leave it," he said, "I'm comfortable."

"Okay," I giggled, "goodnight."

"Good night Lil, I love you."

He kissed my head, "I love you too," I replied.
