Chapter 18:  Heart-to-Heart

"You two are so adorable," Abby said as we walked in the house, "I've never had the chance of hanging out with you both together before. The magazines are definitely right."

"Wait," I interrupted, "right about what?"

"That you two are completely in love with each other. They're always talking about how you two are always holding hands or have your arms around each other. Like you can't help it. Even the really bad article about you two moving in together still had some really good parts about how serious you two have been getting."

"Is that why you brought it up?" I asked, "because everyone else is talking about it?"

"I was just curious, that's all."

"I think I'll just stay out of this," Taylor said, "I'll start dinner."

I giggled, "I'll tell you later," and kissed him on the cheek before he walked into the kitchen. I turned to Abby, "want to go take pictures around the property?"

"The water?"

"Aren't those always the best pictures?" I smiled.

She smiled back, "Good point. I'll go get my sketchbook."

We both went out the back door and started walking around the property. It's the first time I've ever seen a lot of it. I've been too busy to really explore the place. The camera was up to my face the entire time and Abby's was quickly drawing in her sketchbook. We both found ourselves on the bench by the water in the end. Abby was on one side and I was on the other. Abby still drawing in her sketchbook and me with my camera.

"Thanks for coming out here with me," I said putting my camera down.

"I'm glad I did. It's beautiful out here. How is it that both of your houses has water of some kind. Sure this is just a pond but why a pond AND a outdoor pool here?"

"I don't know," I laughed, "I guess Taylor just knew how much I like photography and wanted the scenery here to have as many possiblities for photos as possible."

"He really does go above and beyond for you, doesn't he?"

"I guess he does, yeah. This house was kind of a surprise anyway. I didn't even see them until the day we moved in. It was all him."

"Why would he buy the houses before you even say yes? I mean, how did he know you'd actually say yes?"

"I guess he just knew how I felt about him. He knew that if I really and truly loved him, that I wouldn't say no."

"You know the stuff that you're saying sounds like it's coming straight from a hollywood movie."

"Shut up!" I laughed, "it's the truth!"

"I know it is," she laughed with me, "but still, it does. People back home would beg for this life. You know that right?"

"Yeah I know that. I just try not to think about it too much."
