Chapter 14: A Day On Set

Back to our busy schedules it was as Taylor went to film and I went to the studio. The Lily Rosebuds worked day and well into the night to get all the songs recorded. I was exhausted by the time I had to go to my photoshoot for Seventeen at the end of the week.

"Hey!" Amelia greeted him, "you look tired."

"I've been busy all week," I yawned, "with going to Michigan then staying at the studio all day to record for the album."

"Why the trip to Michigan?" she asked.

"It was for my birthday," I smiled, "as a surprise from Taylor. He threw a party and my friends and family came. Some even flew in from here in California to go."

"Where at?"

"Our second house."

"Wait," she said, "so not only do you two live together, but you own two houses?"

I laughed, "he didn't want to make me choose between Michigan and California."

"So with two, you don't have to choose."

"Exactly."

"Interesting," she said, "happy late birthday in that case."

"Thank you!"

"Over here girls!" the stylists called.

"What is the style this time?" all of us models asked.

"Today is the bohemian, southern look," the stylist said, "you each have a dressing room with your name on it. There are five outfits in there. Pick whichever one you want to wear first. Head to the makeup in five minutes."

We all went out separate ways and put on our outfits then went to the makeup. This style was completely different than I'm used to. Totally not me, but I kept having to remind myself that I don't have to be me for this. I'm a model, just a model. This isn't a photoshoot for my band, it doesn't have to be me. I just have to advertise the clothes and make them look good. I imagined myself back in the country, just outside of town back in Michigan. Where my parents owned a cabin a cabin on the water. These clothes were much more suited to that me. The photoshoot went a lot more smoothly after that.

"Taylor!" I called walked in the house. He waved at me from the kitchen and I went in to see what he was doing. 

"How fancy," I teased. He was pulling a pizza out of the oven.

"Funny," he smiled, "how was your day?"

"Exhausting, but interesting."

"How was it interesting?" he asked.

"We had a bohemian, southern shoot today. I was wearing cowboy boots and everything."

"I bet it looked good on you. Do you have pictures?" he smiled.
