Chapter 27: Album Finally Released

“This is it!” I squealed, “I can’t believe it!”

Taylor chuckled, “Babe we just walked into the store, and we don’t want everyone to freaking out quite yet.”

“Sorry,” I giggled, “But I’m so excited!”

“I can’t believe you had me take you here,” he laughed.

“But you know how much I’ve wanted to see it in stores like this.”

“You’ve already taken 20 different photos how about I buy you the CD and we go over to the Rosebuds’ house and listen to it for the first time.”

“Deal,” I smiled, “I’ll stop taking pictures now.”

“Good girl.”

The girls and I from the Rosebuds started screaming in excitement and the guys took the CD from us and put it in the stereo. They immediately put it on their favorite song: Rebel.

I’m the rebel with the problems.

I’m the rebel who’s depressed.

I’m the rebel with no cares,

Who’s no out of your head.

Permanently infused like no others confess.

I’m the rebel

I’m the rebel

I’m the rebel

I’m the rebel who has feelings

That she doesn’t confess

Cause she can’t get your out

Of her nobody head.

I’m the rebel

I’m the rebel

I’m the rebel

I’m the rebel.

I’m the rebel with a heart

That’s too easily broken.

I’m the rebel who’s not hurt

Cause she won’t take a risk.

I’m a rebel

I’m a rebel

I’m the rebel

I’m the rebel.

The rebel livin’ her dreams,

Takin’ risks every day.

Learnin’ from mistakes, she so easily made.

Bein’ loved by the one who so easily fell.

Fightin’ every day like they kiss every night.

I’m a rebel,

Still the rebel

From the town

No one knows.

Livin’ her dreams

I’m still the rebel.

We all danced around the room singing the song at the top of our lungs without a care in the world. At this very moment I was happier than I’ve been in weeks. Abby was the farthest from my mind. After we had finished the listening to the album the whole way through we logged onto our laptop to see how it was doing so far. It was past noon so we weren’t expecting much, but when we got into iTunes we saw how great it was doing.

I was the first one to say something, “Number one?! Our album’s number one?!”

“We’re number one!!” they all screamed.

I jumped into Taylor’s arms and he spun me around while we were all laughing. I put my hand on the side of his face and kissed him hard. I felt his grip on me tighten and I didn’t want to let go. There was so much chaos in the room that no one else seemed to notice that much.

We pulled away less than a minute later and when we did, Adrian was kissing Max. Jason, Grace, and Beth seemed to be in shock but Taylor and I both smiled. I guess we were the only ones who knew about it. Based on the look I saw on his face, it was their first kiss.

“I’m not even going to comment on that,” Beth said.

“I think it’s better if you don’t,” Grace added.

“Want to celebrate?” I asked, changing the subject.

“I’ll race all of you to the pool,” Jason said taking a run for it.

We all took a run for the pool, except for me, but Taylor grabbed my hand and pulled me along with him. When I wouldn’t go into the pool he picked me up and took me with him. My grip around his neck was so tight that when he tried to drop me he just fell down with me. We both came up from the water and I removed the hair from my face. Taylor was right in front of me and I wrapped my arms around his waist.

“That was mean,” he pouted.

“Want me to make it up to you?” I smiled. I stepped closer to him, just brushing my lips against his. He put his hand on my neck and pushed his lips against mine.

“I’m forgiven now right?” I smiled.

“Of course,” he chuckled, “How can I not forgive you? After all, today is your day.”

“Today is my day huh?”

“I would say so considering your album just made number one on iTunes.”

“Does that mean you’re going to treat me special like this all day?” I asked.

“That depends,” he smiled.

“On what?”

“On what you want as a celebration.”

I started thinking about something and it finally occurred to me, “Okay, I got it.”
