(y/n)'s house

with three days off from school, a small mercy for your bruised foot, you found yourself with the rare luxury of unhurried time to relax.

you slipped into bed, the solace of your sheets, combined with the sweet scent of homemade tiramisu, feeling like pure bliss. the creamy dessert dissolved on your tongue while you scrolled to the latest unwatched episode of spy x family.

soon, the theme song filled your quarters, and you allowed the day's strain to slip away, if only for a little while.

__

thud thud.

at first, you ignored it. just the wind, you told yourself, stirring in your dreamless haze. but the interruption kept coming, a rhythmic knock, willful and insistent.

you climbed out of bed, your ankle protesting every step. late-night demands weren't uncommon: your father's erratic summons for water, help, or just to yell. you braced yourself, already running through the list of things he might want to shout about.

but when you opened the door, the sight waiting for you made you doubt your sanity.

"levi?!"

he stood in your doorway like a misplaced shadow, moonlight shining across sharp cheekbones and dark eyes. the angles of it made him seem both familiar and alien at the same time.

you blinked hard, rubbing your eyes to clear your vision, but your visitor didn't disappear.

"what the hell are you doing here?"

"your father let me in."

it was 3:40 am. the house was dead-silent, save for the hum of the refrigerator downstairs. what could have brought him to your house at this hour? your brain scrambled for answers, but none of them made sense.

"how—did you even know where i live?" you contested, still trying to convince yourself this wasn't some weird fever dream.

"petra from the school council. she's your friend, is she not?"
