sasha's house

"he what?"

"who do you think made that home-cooked meal for your dad last night?" sasha quizzed, dusting her chalk-covered hands on her trousers.

the next morning, you sprawled across lisa and artur's driveway, crayons scattered around you, doodling abstract shapes while half-listening to sasha's ramble about the previous evening's events. her revelation resonated harder than you expected, leaving you in a state of contemplation.

your brain refused to reconcile the absurdity of levi ackerman, of all people, performing such an act. it was almost laughable. outrageously laughable.

"no way," you thought."why would he go out of his way to do all that?"

the grin on sasha's gace grew wider, a smug little secret hiding in her dimples."oh, i can think of a reason."

trost private school

the bell's shrill freed you from computer science, and you practically bolted out of the room in a hunt for levi ackerman. if what sasha said was true, you at least owed him a proper thank-you—and maybe a glare or two for good measure.

stairs flew beneath your feet, two at a time, lungs burning by the time you hit the fourth floor—home to the teacher offices and the infamous council meeting room.

what greeted you there could have been lifted straight from a fever dream: eld jinn and gunther schulz were leading professor hange zoe—yes, leading—on a leash.

you froze. blinked. nope. definitely awake.

"uh...what the hell?"

levi's dry sigh reached your ears."what the hell are you guys doing?"

eld threw up his hands in exaggerated despair."hange just...showed up in the meeting room this morning, demanding to teach chemistry every day of the week! it was awful! this was the only way to contain them!"
