13a's classroom

levi stood at the front of the room like a raptor, surveying his territory. his steely watch swept across the rows of desks, searching for the person jean had just carelessly outed.

your pulse quickened as his eyes moved closer to your seat, and you found yourself wishing you could sink into the floor, and disappear into the very fibres of the carpet. you tried to make yourself smaller, hunching your shoulders and lowering your head, but it was no use. the intensity of his being was like a physical force, pinning you to your seat as if you were a specimen under a microscope.

when his gaze finally sealed onto yours, everything came to a halt. a shiver of recognition passed between you, cutting through your facade. you felt exposed, every secret laid bare under his piercing stare.

your blood ran cold.

he remembered.

a crushing sense of defeat settled deep in your gut, hauling you down. every breath grew shallow as if you were trying to draw air through a narrow straw, making it harder and harder to breathe.

the president's lips parted, about to drop the bomb.

"you. you're—"

you couldn't let him finish, not in front of everyone. a surge of adrenaline exploded through you, propelling you to your feet before you even realised what you were doing. your chair scraped loudly against the floor as you stood, the sound resonating in the silent room like a gunshot. the room tipped, but you ignored it, driven by an urgency you didn't know you possessed.

your hand shot out, seizing the collar of levi's blazer in a vice-like grip, the fabric stiff under your shaking fingers. your heart throbbed so violently it drowned out the exclamations and murmurs that gurgled through the classroom.

the disbelief on the president's face was almost comical; his usually impassive features were frozen in surprise, his dark orbs wide as they bore into yours. he was momentarily at a loss for words, clearly taken aback by your abrupt and bold manoeuvre.
