Hey i'm Maliyah but everyone calls me YahYah, I'm seventeen years old and I have three other siblings. My twin Makiyah, my big sister Amiyah and my little brother Lj.

Right now i'm in my room talking to this guy I really like named Devon.

???: "Who you in here talking to?" Makiyah asked walking in my room

Me: "Devon." I said with a smile on my face

Makiyah: "Oh okay. So have you decided whether you're gonna invite him to dinner or not?" She asked sitting on the edge of my bed

So every Sunday we have family dinner. And for this dinner I was thinking about inviting him so he can meet my family.

We decided to do this before making our relationship official for respect purposes.

Me: "Yeah but i'ma ask later on."

Amiyah: "What y'all talkin' about?" She asked walking in my room and sitting on my bed

Me: "I guess we just don't knock huh?"

Makiyah: "YahYah's lil boyfriend." She teased

Me: "He is not my boyfriend, shut up Kiy." I said pushing her

Makiyah: "She want's to invite him to dinner tonight."

Amiyah: "Oh really?!" She asked while laughing

Me: "Yeah but don't tell mom and dad yet I wanna ask."

Amiyah: "Let's go ask right now." She suggested hopping up off my bed

I tossed my phone and hopped up trying to stop them from walking out my room.

Me: "No! Please don't I wanted to do it."

Amiyah: "What's takin' you so long?" She asked laughing "I don't see why you haven't asked."

Me: "Because y'all know daddy is crazy."

Makiyah: "Yeah you right."

Everything got quiet and we all looked at each other.

Amiyah: "Go!" She yelled

Kiy started tickling me and Amiyah ran down the stairs, I finally caught myself and pushed Kiy then ran down the stairs with Kiy right behind me.

Amiyah: "Daddy!!!" She yelled

I hate when they do that! I can't do anything on my own.

Me and Nia are casually sittin' here watchin' American horror story, hangin' out before I go to the studio. And I hear yellin' and runnin'.

Amiyah: "Daddy!!!"

As soon as she reaches the bottom of the stairs Maliyah grabs her arm.

Tania: "Hey, hey! What do y'all want?" She asked while pausing the show

Amiyah: "So you know how we're having Sunday dinner tonight?"

Me: "Alright what about it."

Makiyah: "YahYah got a little boyfriend and she wants to invite hime over." She snickered

Maliyah: "He is not my boyfriend, Oh my God!"

I frowned and looked at Nia.

Tania: "Y'all stop bein' a couple of snitches. YahYah come here."

Amiyah and Kiy laughed and walked upstairs.

Tania: "Is there a boy you want to invite to dinner?"

Maliyah: "Yeah, I really like him and we've been talking for a while. He asked me to be his girlfriend, but when we talked about it we decided to meet each others family first and if you guys like him then we'll go from there."

I couldn't take listenin' to this so I got up and walked away.

Y'all it's hard for me to hear that my little girls are out here liking boys or even feeling like they're ready to date.

Welp! There goes Langston haha. I know it's hard for him to hear his daughters getting ready to date. But they are getting older and he needs to accept that.

Me: "So why didn't you ask us in advance?"

Maliyah: "Because I didn't know how dad would act when I did. I was gonna ask later on today."

Me: "Alright well let me talk to your dad okay, and then i'll let you know what we decide."

She nods her head then walks to the kitchen. I walk upstairs to me and Langston's room to see him getting ready to play 2k.

Me: "Baby why did you walk away like that?" I asked sitting next to him

Langston: "I didn't feel like listening to that."

I chuckle and throw my arm around his shoulder.

Me: "Langston they're getting older, they're gonna like boys."

Langston: "What were you doing at seventeen?"

Me: *laughs* "Langston they're different."

Langston: "Bullshit."

My jaw fell open and I punched him on the arm.

Me: "What are you trying to say?"

Langston: "Y'all act alike."

Me: "Oh okay better be sayin' that. But for real babe I think it's a good idea plus Maliyah is a really smart girl."

Langston: "I'm just not ready for that maybe next Sunday."

Me: "Okay." I said rubbing his ear

He looked at me and licked his lips

Me: "What?"

Langston: "You rubbin' my ear." He mumbled

I busted out laughing, the way he said it was funny.

Me: "I'm sorry baby, It's instinct."

Langston: "Stop doin' that."

Me: "Okay I'm done."

I heared a knock on the door but knew one of the kids would get it.

Amiyah: "Mom it's for you!" She yelled

I huffed and got up. I walked down the stairs and saw Amiyah walking up.

Me: "Who is it?"

She shrugged her shoulders and kept walking. Once I got to the door my nerves went bad.

Me: "What do you want Bebe?" I asked tilting my head to the side

Bebe: "Just here to serve my baby's father." She said handing me a yellow envelope. "Tell him I said his daughter wants to meet him."

And with that she walked away with a smile on her face.

A part of me is like "this is a joke, this bitch is lying." But there's also a part of me that thinks it could be true because they did fuck.

I close the door and turn around putting my back on the door thinking about how I'ma handle this.

After standing there for a while I decided to just ask him calmly and not blow things out of proportion.

Me: "Langston baby come here." I said walking over to the couch
