*Sunday morning*

So today we're having Sunday dinner; i'm cooking the sides and of course Langston is doing the meat. I made the potato salad already, I slow cooked the greens, and right now i'm making the mac and cheese and Langston prepped the ribs last night so i'm waiting on him to put them on the grill. We have everybody coming over today from Julian to Jazmine, Zayloni, DaShawn, Ty, and Dj and Dajah. And yes Druu is still coming; me and Langston didn't really feel the need to tell everybody not to come because they already know whats been going on.
As i'm stirring the noodles Maliyah walks in the kitchen.
Maliyah: "Hey mom." She greets opening the refrigerator door
Me: "What's up baby girl."
Maliyah: "So can Devon still come to dinner?"
Me: "Who the fuck is thaaat??" I asked extra confused
Maliyah: "The boy I said I like and wanted you guys to meet. He couldn't come last dinner-"
Me: "Ohhhh okay. Shit I forgot baby sorry, I don't care but go ask your dad."
Maliyah: "Mom no, can you ask him?"
Me: "Why you scared?"
Maliyah: "No it's just weird, come on mom please?"
Me: "Alright, alright i'll talk to him."
Maliyah: "Thank you mom, love you." She said giving me a kiss on the cheek
She went to the back yard with Lj and Amiyah, and I called Langston down stairs.
Langston: "Wassup baby." He greeted me with a kiss on my lips
Me: "Owe you smell good."
Langston: "Thanks, this that URSHA!"
Me: "That URSHA baby."
We both started laughing
Me: "No, but Maliyah asked if her friend Devon can come to dinner tonight."
He scrunched up his eyebrows at me
Langston: "I don't know baby, you know Druu is coming tonight."
Me: "Yeah you right." I said checking the noodles to make sure they were done
Langston: "Maliyah!" He called
Maliyah: "Huh?!" She yelled in response
Langston: "Come here."
A little while went by before she walked through the sliding door.
Maliyah: "What's up pops." She said sitting on the barstool
Langston: "Your friend can come, IF your mom can agree to be good tonight."
I stopped draining the noodles and looked up at Langston with my eyebrows scrunched up, I shook my head from side to side, he raised his eyebrows at me, and YahYah stuck her bottom lip out.
Me: "Fine!"
Maliyah: "Thanks mom" She cheered
She ran back out to the backyard closing the sliding door.
Me: "Langston I want you to know that I really hate you for that." I said pouring the noodles back in the pot
Langston: "I love you too baby." He said kissing my cheek
Me: "Whatever go start them ribs."
Langston: "Don't be givin' orders." He said slapping my ass
Me: "Ouch!" I hissed "Don't get smacked." I said laughing
