thorns that encase
thorns that pierce and splinter
splinter the birthday rose
splinter the celebratory balloon
balloon that shows a new stage in life
[the] balloon that people give to wish you the very best
[the] best that they think you deserve
[the] best gift that shows the hidden jealousy
jealousy of a thief
jealousy of a certain splinter
[the] splinter to ruin your rose.
