we fit perfectly
like chess pieces like yin and yang
like light and darkness. yet, we never saw it before.
that one day,
you saved me from drowning
in my ocean of silent tears
that only you noticed.
why, did I never notice you before?
now I cannot stop thinking about you,
repeating our conversations in my head,
the connection I never had with anyone else
your smile is enough
to make my mind overthink.
our little arguments,
those times when we just look at each other
more than we speak
because each others company is enough
to keep us content.
