"Oh... my..." That Hugh bastard lied; that was where her thoughts immediately went to, but surely the blunet didn't know. The gym had no trace of honey in sight, only cocoons, which she prayed weren't real. "Do I have to...?" She gulped. The man, who usually offered her bottles of water, pushed her toward the entrance of one cocoon and she was immediately, somehow, sucked inside and spit out on an upper level. Rosa groaned all the way up to the gym, as she didn't want to be in this place. She admitted that it was creative since this was a bug-type gym. Although, with some trainers popping out of the cocoons she had thought contained nothing, she nearly suffered a few heart attacks.

Each pokémon on her team had their turn in each battle. Komori was a tad sluggish during his battles. She expected that much due to him preferring to sleep or just relax. Their opponent, Dwebble, kicked up sand into the Woobat's eyes and rendered him unable to see clearly. Rosa wondered how that even worked since a Woobat's eyes weren't visible. "Don't move! Attack in front of you with gust!" She quickly ordered. Komori flapped his wings, causing heavy wind to pick up and send Dwebble flying across the battlefield. Unfortunately, it came back with a smack down and greatly injured Komori. Rosa quickly returned him out of worry and sent Shisa in his place.

The Growlithe growled at their opponent before following his trainer's order for a flame wheel, then down went Dwebble. Swadloon wasn't all that much difficult to handle with just two ember attacks.

Rosa picked up Shisa then allowed herself to be sucked inside one more cocoon. She yelped as she met the ground of a colorful room. "Ah, are you ok?!" Burgh all but dropped his paintbrush and ran over to help her.

"Well, I didn't break anything, so..." The brunette chuckled. The man beamed, returning to his spot.

"Oh, good work back there in the sewers." His smile turned to an excited grin. "My bug-type pokémon have been scurrying with excitement about getting to battle you!"

A shiver ran down Rosa's back. "I- Is that so?"

"You sound nervous! Don't be! My pokémon are great – you must let me brag about them a little!" Burgh went into this dream-like state as he began to list what was so amazing or cute about his team, mentioning how his Dwebble's eyes were round and small and so cute, as well as the pokémon being resilient and reliable. Then he talked about his Leavanny, so now Rosa knew what to expect. "I think I bragged for too long~! Let us start this battle~!"

The brunette retrieved her poké balls from Nurse Joy with a sigh of relief. Burgh did a number on them, that's for sure. Fortunately, Shisa had pulled through and finished the battle against Leavanny with a simple flame wheel.

Rosa exited the center and made her way toward the plaza. There were a couple of people about, sitting on benches, chatting, or showing off their pokémon with friends. This brought a smile to her face.

The smile disappeared when she spotted that strange dude from the sewers. He was observing the people around him with an unreadable expression. Hoping that he wouldn't see her, Rosa walked over to the vending machines and bought three soda cans.

"Oh, it's you again!"

She jumped (in that cartoonish way) and found him approaching her, that same creepy smile as before. "Hey there... you..." The brunette forced a smile of her own.

The stranger clutched a device to his chest, his other hand in his coat pocket. "If it's not an inconvenience, may I have a look at your pokémon?" Rosa blinked, thinking it over. He wouldn't try anything with all these people around them, right?
