"That look on your face is priceless!" Rosa tore her eyes away from Kyurem, finding the floor interesting now. Her stupid legs refused to move, and her body was shaking with fear on top of being cold to the touch. Ghetsis continued to ramble about his goal, but they fell on deaf ears.

'Co- Cobalion...' Viri started, her voice wavering. This was the first time Rosa heard her sound so panicked before. 'Do you sense it??'

'Yes...'

'Is that... Keldeo?!' Rosa winced at Terra's internal shout. 'Where is he?!'

Keldeo, the orphaned pokémon that was adopted into the Sacred Trio? She remembered this from the day Terra was caught by Nate and Cobalt had explained everything going on. The fella went missing in action, much to the worry of his comrades.

Rosa thanked them for distracting her from the pressure emanating off of the ice/dragon-type ahead of her. She carefully examined her surroundings, taking in every inch of the chilly room, until her eyes landed on the mass of ice behind Ghetsis. The man himself caught her line of sight and, if possible, his expression became even more delighted than it already was. "I see you've taken notice of my latest prize. It is my greatest accomplishment, if I say so myself." He moved a few steps to the side. "They were the perfect test subjects to show how great Kyurem's powers are!!"

Rosa squinted her eyes in the dimness of the cave. As she grew accustomed to the lack of better lighting, her heart stopped. "NO!" A shriek erupted from her throat – a sound she didn't know she was capable of making. Rosa fell to her knees, the heavy feeling of defeat weighing her down.

Her nightmares couldn't have been mere dreams; not when her mind had conjured up a perfect image of Kyurem without ever having seen it. She saw the damn future... It can't just be a coincidence, right?!

She failed to process the sound of poké balls opening, faintly recognizing the presence of Cobalt, Viri, and Terra beside her. After their eyes had adjusted, they followed the brunette's line of sight before their breath hitched. 'KELDEO!' Upon hearing the trio's own anguished cry, Rosa could finally feel her tears trickle down her cheeks. Or had she been crying already, but just couldn't feel anything against her cold cheeks?

"Hilda... This- This can't be..." She covered her mouth as an ugly hiccup slipped past her lips, or was it the urge to puke? Her gaze trailed along the frozen figures of Keldeo and Hilda despite wanting to look anywhere else. Shock was etched on their faces, as if they were caught by surprise (and they might as well have been). Upon second glance, Rosa noticed something black next to her cousin's legs; it didn't take long to recognize it as the creature Rood had entrusted her to watch over.

No. It had to be a different Zorua.

Throughout everything, Ghetsis stood there with a never ending smugness about him. It made her sick. "HOW COULD YOU?!" Rosa yelled. "They're living beings and you FROZE THEM!!"

"The girl and I go way back – you wouldn't understand." He gave a snort, tapping the ground with his cane. "As for the pokémon... well, they chose to get in my way after I gave them a chance to leave. I don't take too kindly to anyone that gets in my way, whether it be human or not."

Cobalt shook his head and flashed an angry glare toward Ghetsis. 'Rosa. You have to stand with us.' The trainer slowly gathered herself, accepting Viri's help. Although, being on her feet and having the support of the three legendary pokémon did little to settle the sickness in her stomach. She wanted to vomit right then and there, even at the thought of engaging in a battle with the old man and Kyurem. "I- I don't know if I can fight..." Cobalt's expression shifted to a frown but he found it in himself to understand how she was feeling. Viri exchanged a glance with him before bending down to allow Rosa to climb onto her back. Hesitant, the girl did just that.
