Eww, I feel like I could've done more and better with this chapter, but I have no motivation for this book anymore. I'm just pushing out ideas at this point because I just wanna get this done and over with.

Rosa introduced Jano, Yomo, Rina, Komori, and Itachi to her cousin. It felt weird not having the Sacred Trio with her; she missed them already. "I have two more pokémon with my mom. There's Shisa, my Arcanine, and Manami, my Vaporeon," she explained as Hilda was petting Jano's head. "I plan on bringing them back on my team."

Hilda flashed a smile. "I think you'll have little trouble getting to Iris. Rina will be a good pick against Grimsley, but watch out for his Scrafty – it knows Brick Break." Rosa's eyes widened and she sat down next to her on one of the beds, listening intently. "Marshal has an affinity for fighting-type pokémon so Komori should be fine. Caitlin and Shauntal have psychic and ghost-types respectively..." The other brunette tapped a finger to her chin as she observed the pokémon in front of her once again. "Honestly, just go with your heart. You'll have a perfect opportunity to get more training in when you walk through Victory Road, which is where a lot of tough trainers roam to train their team."

"Thank you!" Rosa brought her in for a side hug. "I was actually pretty nervous before all this, but I think I'm more confident now. Team Plasma is gone and I have you back in my life."

"That makes me happy." Hilda gave her a quick squeeze before they let go and stood up.

"Can I see your pokémon?" Rosa's eyes began to sparkle with excitement only to receive a wink.

"Maybe next time. For now, it's a secret~!" The older trainer laughed when her cousin started to pout and whine. "Well, I guess I can introduce you to Midori." Walking over to her bag by the doorway, Hilda rummaged inside until she found the poké ball she was looking for. Tapping the center of it, she released a Serperior.

'Ah, so it wasn't a dream. You're actually alive,' Midori mused, earning an eye-roll.

"Shut up!"

Rosa looked between them, beaming. "I never would've guessed we had the same taste in starter pokémon!" She turned to Jano only to find that he wasn't next to her anymore.

'You... seem familiar...' Her own Serperior had slithered over to the female, curiosity in his eyes.

Midori cast him a strange look. 'But you don't.' Their trainers shrugged at each other, neither of them able to understand the other's partner.

'Surely we have met before.' Jano offered a smile. He couldn't quite place when and where, though.

The other grass-type scrunched up her nose before turning her head away, clearly annoyed with his very presence. "Ouch..." Rosa cleared her throat before waving at Midori. "Hello! I'm Rosa!"

'The cousin?' Midori asked Hilda, who nodded, then she hissed a greeting.

Jano had, dejectedly, returned to his trainer's side while the other pokémon offered half-assed introductions; they were clearly not happy with how rude Midori was to him.

That aside, Rosa and Hilda returned their partners and decided to head down to a pokémon center together to access a transporter. Hilda seemed both anxious yet curious about Driftveil City as they walked down the street, but Rosa opted not to comment.
