Unfortunately, plans changed.

Cheren and Hugh spotted a Team Plasma grunt headed toward the dock just south of the building. Of course, she had to help.

"Woah!" Rosa hadn't even noticed that giant ship right there.

"Zor!" Zorua called her attention before dashing toward the gangway.

The trainer chased after him. "Ho- Hold on!" Her shoes tapped against the metal passageway as she met up with Hugh and Cheren.

The younger boy looked down when Zorua bumped into the back of his leg. The pokémon glared up at him in a manner that read, "watch where you're going." Hugh returned the glare then glanced around the ship once more. "It's cold here..."

Cheren's hand hovered over one of his poké balls. "It seems like it is disguised as an old sailboat, but that can't be it, right?"

"Why should you care?" Their heads snapped to a grunt slowly walking over to them, stopping a couple of feet away. He scowled. "By the time we're done with you, it won't matter anyway." Five more grunts appeared, each clutching a ball in their hands.

Hugh tensed up. "Seriously, this is Team Plasma's base?"

Rosa craned her head to find another grunt running over. "Correct answer~!" Oddly, he seemed a tad cheerful. "So that's why, as you can see..." He chuckled, glancing behind him when more of his comrades joined in. "There are so many of us here~!"

Zorua growled, backing into the brunette. They were surrounded, but Rosa had faith in her friends. Team Plasma were a weak bunch... right? Her eyes moved from one person to the other. Hugh caught her attention when he snorted.

"Is that all? I think you need more backup."

His friend tittered. "Hugh, maybe you shouldn't annoy them – just sayin'." She looked at him from the corner of her eyes, but he didn't reply. She did admire his bravery and all.

The first grunt sarcastically laughed. "Oooh, I'm so scared, big tough guy!" This elicited snickers from his pals before they turned serious. "Pulverize these punks!" The look in their eyes intimidated Rosa but she held her head up high, sending out Jano.

Hugh twirled Pignite's poké ball on one finger, eyes following its movements. "Hey, just to let you know..." Cheren and Rosa looked at him, the other boy sending out his own pokémon. "I'm. About. To. Unleash. My. Rage!" With a flick, the ball was tossed into the air, red light pouring out from it and taking the form of his Pignite. The pokémon squealed his name and landed on the deck with a thud, pumped up and ready to take down their enemies.

There was a sense of fear in Rosa. So many things were happening at once. They were surrounded. She started to feel anxious. Yomo forced her way out of her ball to join in the battle. 'Come on, my lady!' She looked up at her trainer with determination. 'You weren't at your A-game at the tournament because of all those people watching you! This is Team Plasma though, we can totally take on them!' The girl stared at the Flaaffy. She was right.

"Y- Yeah! These hypocritical bastards are going to get it! Yomo, confuse ray on Team Plasma's pokémon!" She punched the air energetically. Yomo's eyes started to glow, golden orbs circling around her, before shooting and disappearing into the opponents. It wasn't long until the creatures began to act ditzy, attacking things other than the ones they were supposed to, even each other.
