Rosa exited Chargestone Cave with a heavy heart.

Zorua was... gone.

She practically searched the whole cave! Shisa explained he did catch the fox's scent, but the trail abruptly stopped, as if Zorua flew away. 'He likely did, being able to transform into other pokémon...' Rosa finally raised her head to get a look at Mistralton City. It was as big as Driftveil, not much compared to Nimbasa or Castelia.

She failed to watch where she was going and bumped into someone. "Oops! I am so sorry!" Rosa scanned their face, eyes widening. "Professor Juniper?"

The impact had made the woman drop a couple of items, which she was quick to scoop up. Hearing her name, she looked to the girl in surprise. "Ah, Rosa! It's nice to finally be able to talk to you in person!" She looked like her mother, Juniper noted.

"I could say the same." Rosa flashed a smile.

"You accepted the pokédex and came all the way out here with your partners..." She murmured, observing the brunette further. "I would like to analyze the progress on your dex so far."

Reaching into her bag, Rosa handed over the device and watched as Juniper scrolled through the list on the screen. She waited patiently, foot drawing shapes on the ground.

"Impressive!" Her exclamation caused the girl to look back up. "You've seen 102 species! As a reward," the professor presented a ball unlike the ones Rosa had seen, "take this Master Ball!"

"Master Ball?" Rosa accepted the purple capture device, noting the 'M' above the very center of it.

"This ball is much more powerful than a normal pokéball, it can catch any pokémon without fail." The girl nearly choked on air. "Journeys are about meeting pokémon. Don't let a chance get away!"

Rosa glanced up at her, fiddling with the ball carefully. She liked its purple color. "I've met a ton of pokémon. This journey is definitely one that I'll remember for years."

Juniper smiled at that and turned to look past the chain fence next to them, watching a cargo plane, among a few others, take off into the sky. She began to remark how pokémon distribution changed over the past two years, and that it was fine since she would have more research to do, which happened to be fun for her. The woman raised her head when a faint, but pretty loud and cheery, voice called her. "Why, if it isn't Skyla!"

"Huh?" Rosa put away the master ball then noticed a redhead jogging toward them, halting a few feet from them.

"This is Skyla, Mistralton City's gym leader." The professor informed her.

Skyla raised a brow. "Why do you sound surprised to see me? You did ask for a lift in my plane to cross Twist Mountain, since you can't really reach Opelucid City by foot." That made the woman titter.

"You're right, but I have a quick favor to ask first." Skyla nodded for her to continue. "I want a look at Celestial Tower. Do you mind waiting till I'm through?"

"Ehh?" The gym leader watched Juniper walk off rather fast, then sighed. "Honestly! I can't tell if she's just laid back or if she's not paying attention to anything outside her head!"
