Rosa exited the mall, fiddling with her bag after practically stuffing it with supplies she could possibly have a need for. She had enough money to spend, so why not?

"Sorry for taking so long..." She brought a fist up to her mouth to conceal a smile at seeing the annoyed expression upon Manami's face.

'Whatever! Bridge time!' The Vaporeon made her way toward the Tubeline Bridge entrance with Rosa jogging to keep up; a single hyper potion slipped out from her bag, but they hadn't noticed.

The duo came to a stop as they took notice of the few people inside the building, openly complaining about how they couldn't cross the bridge. Rosa decided to question the man blocking the doorway on the other side of the room. "Excuse me!" She approached him almost immediately. "Is there a problem with the bridge?"

He offered a smile. "It is currently undergoing a test to see how many people it can hold. If all goes well, the bridge should be ready for the public quite soon."

Rosa nodded in understanding, feeling queasy at the thought of walking on it only for the whole thing to collapse. "Oh, alright. Thank you for telling me." She and Manami sighed in disappointment and headed on back to Opelucid City.

'Say...' Manami spoke up with a frown. 'Why did the big-haired girl tell us to come here before meeting her grandpa??' She had a point there. Nothing important even happened on route 9.

"I... don't really know." Rosa rubbed at her arm as she felt a sudden itch. "I just wanna meet Drayden." With that, the girls moved quicker so they could get back before the sun went down.

Re-entering the city, Rosa's eyes locked on something black that could be seen through a gap between two buildings. Curiosity made her jog a couple feet forward so she would be able to see where the other path led to. The black color she saw seconds ago belonged to a bicolored building where it had been designed with two dragon heads above the entrance, one head black and the other, white, or a very light gray. "Professor Juniper said that Drayden specializes in dragon-type pokémon, so it's obvious that this is the place we're looking for." Manami nodded in agreement, glancing to the plaque next to the doorway.

'The gym symbol is there, too!'

Upon entering, they were met with the man that normally approached a challenger at the entrance, and explained how the statues worked. Rosa was confused for a moment until she got a good look at the interior design and choked a bit on her saliva, which caused her to cough. Manami regarded her with worry, but she reassured her. "I'm ok! Wow, this place is," she looked around once more, "awesome!"

"For that cough," the man beside them offered her a bottle of water, to which Rosa gratefully accepted and downed.

The brunette's pokémon walked up to the statue closest to her, one that had a gym symbol, and tilted her head in curiosity. There was a scroll attached to the side of the sculpture, but she couldn't understand it. 'Rosa, what does this say?' Said girl hummed in question and joined her side. She was glad to have swallowed the gulp of water she had taken before reading the scroll, or else she'd be choking on the liquid right now.
