Austin shook Summer awake. She groaned and rolled out of the giant bed. Surprisingly, that was the best nights sleep she'd had in weeks, almost like the quiet before a storm. She shook the thought off and walked to the bathroom where she redid her makeup and tied her hair into a messy bun. She pulled on a tank top, leggings and a flannel. Her favorite uggs completed the simple outfit.
Connor was having a hard time getting out of bed so Austin and Summer left him to wake up while they grabbed breakfast from downstairs.
Austin grabbed a giant serving of eggs, potatoes, and bacon, and a bagel, cinnamon roll, and a price of toast. Summer smirked at him as he went for a second cinnamon roll, but stopped him "Other people might want one" she pointed out
"So? We were here first"
She rolled her eyes and grabbed one for herself. Austin filled two cups with orange juice and brought them to the table they were sharing.
"So, we should be getting there by one or two this afternoon." Austin mumbled through a mouthful of food
"Ya, it's five thirty right now, but Connor might not be up."
"We'll just have to grab breakfast for him. It's important that we get this out of you asap. The sooner we loose what they want, the sooner they'll stop wanting us."
"So, the government is who exactly? Like the president or the FBI or something?"
"Well" he wiped his mouth with a napkin "they're sort of a group of scientists who wanted more control. They had ideas for this plan but the head of their team shut them down really quick cuz, you know, mind reading and mind controlling isn't highly encouraged in normal society. So they raised funds and developed the plan on their own, they found you somehow, I wasn't given full details, and put this in you."
"Wow"
"You could say that again."
"Is this 'friend' a surgeon or something?"
"Well, he was originally part of the team but quit, my family kept his secrets of leaving the team secret, so he owes us. He was the brains behind the back up plan of things went south. He knew how to get the charge they put in this metal out or whatever. All I heard was blah blah blah, science, science, words, you know?"
"Yeah, I got it"
He smiled and grabbed food for Connor. Austin thought it was hilarious that he only grabbed healthy stuff and Summer just let him think so.
"Connor! We're leaving!" Austin barged into the room and flicked on the lights.
Connor groaned and three a pillow over his head. Summer watched Austin try to wake him with food, talking, and shaking, but eventually he just pulled Connor out of the bed. He sat up on the floor and rubbed his eyes "I was getting up."
"Come on Connor!Let's go! lets go! The driver needs to be awake! Well grab coffee on our way out." Austin said in a way to peppy for 5:45 am voice.
They gathered their things and left, not before getting Starbucks.

Ava sat on her bed, laptop in front of her and coffee in her hand. Her blonde hair was a mess and she hadn't bothered to shower yet. She wanted to get some work done before she officially woke up. Her hand led the mouse to the e-mail box and she began to type.
I'm here in Dc awaiting the arrival of Summer Akkesson and Austin Lyons. I was informed that they will be accompanied by a third party,. I will perform the job given to me and get out before any further events. Thank you for my position. I will not rest until I have fulfilled my purpose.
She raised her coffee to her lips and re-read the letter. It looked good to her, so she pressed the send button. Now, she waited for a response, that would take fifteen minutes, which gave her time for a quick shower.

"Ill have that in Italian herb and cheese bread, please."
Summer was the last to order her sandwich at Subway. They had two hours to go, and it would all be over. The group decided to get an early lunch so they could end everything as soon as they got to D.C.
She paid and grabbed her sandwich and chips. Connor and Austin were talking about what they were going to do after this was over.
Was it really going to be that simple? Just go, get the job done, and go home? What about her mom? What about the people at school? Were they just going to show back up and say "hey! We just went on a spontaneous road trip! Didn't mean to worry you" ? She sighed and popped a chip into her mouth. Maybe worrying was better saved for the ride home.

Ava wrapped a towel around herself and sat on the bed. She moved her mouse and her computer lit up. The response to her email had come and it was the same response that always came.
Thank you for your update, best of luck.
She deleted the e-mail and pulled on the outfit she had laid on the other bed in the hotel room.
After she was in New clothes she put up her work equipment and flipped on the t.v. She ordered a pizza for brunch and pulled out her phone.
It was 11:30
Roughly, there were two more hours.
Two more hours.

Austin talked on the phone with this friend of his for two hours. The part of the conversation that Summer had heard consisted of Austin explaining the situation and reassuring the man that it was okay, and that no one had followed them.
When he finally hung up he closed his eyes and leaned his head back against the seat.
"That man is impossible. He's almost as stubborn as, well, as you, Summer."
Summer grinned "So did he tell you what's going to be happening?"
"Not exactly, but in two hours we'll know."
Summer nodded.
In two hours
