Chapter 25

Summer had a blindfold tied over her eyes and was led to the back of what she assumed was A large van parked in her garage.
The backdoor of the can creaked as it opened and she was commanded to get in. Her handcuffed hands made the task difficult, but she made it.
A thud showed her that Austin had been thrown in. After the doors shut she crawled over to him.
"Austin" she shook him, wishing she could see his face. "Austin, Austin," she continued shaking him, but he was out cold.
Summer sighed and curled up near him in case he woke up and closed her eyes. They had taken off her glasses to blindfold her, and she probably wasn't getting them back.
Her mind was thinking faster than her tired body could process. She hadn't realized how tired she actually was.
A few thoughts were her brains focus. Morgan. Mom. Ava.
Her lip twitched in anger. Ava, her best friend, had betrayed her. Her sister was dead. And her mom, her mom was the reason all this happened. A tear that she hadn't realized was there slipped down her cheek.
She let more tears fall. She hadn't realized how good it felt to cry. She sniffed and wiped her eyes with the blindfold.
A hand rested on her side, actually, it was a pair of hands, that were handcuffed together.
"Don't cry Summer" Austin whispered "It'll be alright. Try to sleep."
A smiled formed on her lips.
"Thanks Austin."
"Anytime"
She closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.

"Get up" a gruff voice commanded.
Summer rolled over and sat up. She could see light through her blindfold. Austin was pressed up against her.
"Get over here, now." The same man commanded.
Her and Austin crawled out of the can and stumbled over to the man.
He grabbed their arms, one in each hand, and began. A small headache was forming in summer's temples, and she was sure it was going to get worse after she took the blindfold off.
They heard a buzz followed by a staticy voice. "State name and objective with password for entrance."
The man cleared his throat. "Agent Ross, delivering the package and her helper, tursk."
"Very good" the static voice said and the gate swung open.
Summer and Austin were led into what summer guessed was a house.
They were then led into some strange closet, at least, that's what she thought. Summer almost screamed when the closet began to fall until she realized it was an elevator; In spite of being captured, she chuckled to herself.
"What's so funny?" Ross demanded.
"Nothing, just remembered something." She ducked her head down.
"Well remember quieter."
They got out of the elevator and began walking, and walking, and twisting, and turning down what were probably long halls.
Finally, they stopped and their blindfold were tore off.
Summer winced at the bright light and held still while her hands were uncuffed.
Ross shoved them into a room and tossed summer a key.
"Uncuff your friend, well be back in a few days for your hearing." The agent commanded them and swung the door shut. It clicked locked. Summer brushed her hand along the wall and flicked the light on.
"Uncuff me." Austin shifted anxiously on his feet. She did, and as soon as he was freed, Austin pulled her into a strangling hug.
"I'm so sorry, Summer. I'm so sorry."
She rubbed his back as best as she could under his grip. "It's okay Austin, well be fine."
He held her tighter "no, you don't understand, it's all my fault. I knew Ava was a double agent, I just- my dad- oh Summer, I'm so sorry."
She pushed him back, "wait, you knew? You knew what was going to happen and didn't tell me? I thought we were friends, Austin."
"I- Summer- I'm so sorry."
"Yes Austin, I get it, you're sorry. But that doesn't solve things. Why would you betray me like this?"
He hung his head, "I didn't want to let my dad down."
Her face softened "your dad? What does he have to do with this?"
Austin messed with the front of his shirt "I took his place in the Sway. He was injured while searching for you. I am Agent Lyons, junior."
"But, in my house, you still fought them, they still got you."
He smiled at her "That's cuz I kinda decided that, at that moment, doing what was right was better than, well, ya know, protecting my family name and hurting you. But, I guess I kinda did hurt you. I'm so sorry, Summer."
She smiled, it was a small smile, but it was a smile, nonetheless.
"Austin, I get it, I get why you did what you did. Thank you for telling me the truth."
"Your welcome, Summer." He itched the back of his neck "Can you forgive me?"
"Well," images of her sisters flashed in her vision. Her wrists  hurt from the handcuffs. "I- if I did say I forgave you, it wouldn't be honest. I don't think I can, for now."
"I get it Summer, I really do," Summer felt a pang of sympathy for him as his face fell.
They examined the room.
It looked like a large garage with a cold cement floor and matching cement walls. A few lights dimly brightened the room.
"What now?" Summer asked as she sat down and winced at the cold floor.
Austin sank down beside her "We find a way to destroy them."
Summer squinted at his figure, which was blurry because she didn't have her glasses. Her instincts told her to look at the words above his head, but she didn't. "How are we, two teenagers, supposed to bust out of here?"
He scooted closer with a giant grin on his face. "Call me crazy, but I think you might be able to control them"
The color drained from her face "no."
