sequel

yes, you've guessed it. there is a sequel to the book. and although there weren't that much comments, i know there's a lot of silent readers who wish to read a sequel. i'm excited tbh and i hope you guys are too. it will be published soon, or as in like a day or two.

here is the prologue and first chapter:

prologue

it's been 3 years since jimin last saw or heard of yoongi. 3 years since yoongi had lost his memory. jimin and his family had been living in auckland, new zealand a week after the incident.

jimin had visited yoongi every day before he left, and since yoongi has no idea who he is, he always asked the nurse to have him escorted out. yoongi was confused every time jimin's expression fell.  he was always confused when he heard jimin cry after the doors were closed. yoongi's family was contacted about 3 days after he had awoken and had visited him a few times. they ended up transferring him to a different hospital in daegu.

jimin tried his best to just forget about yoongi, yet he never did. he sent him things every day. the first day they were apart, he sent a package with one rose along with a note:

1 day.

1 day we've been apart. here's a gift from me to you. one reason i fell for you.

- i miss you.

he did that every day. he sent one rose more than the other day along with a note. he waited each day for a response, yet none came. he accepted the fact that yoongi wasn't going to remember him. he accepted that yoongi probably moved on.

Maybe he should too.

chapter 1: 9:16 am

"jiminnie!" jimin heads a familiar voice. he whipped his head around and spotted seokjin running up to him with open arms. "i missed you, my tiny baby."

"i missed you too, hyung." jimin chuckles.

"i'm so glad you're back." he sighs in relief.

"so, how's uh- yoongi holding up?" jimin scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"well, he's much better than the last time you saw him, obviously. he still hasn't regained his memory. he stares at the pictures you took of him and wonders who took them. he stares at the necklace and the tattoo each day and wonders who's initials they are. he has been productive and still works at the hospital. the whole staff had been notified beforehand and they don't bring you up anymore. of course, he goes in at the same time and leaves at the same time. he's still yoongi, just without memory of the last 3 years of his life before the incident." seokjin fills him in.

"i miss him," jimin mumbles, "sounds like he moved on, maybe i should too."
