Josie groaned, stretching. She opened her eyes, squinting from the sunlight before sitting up and looking around her. She spotted Jeff sleeping on the couch, realization that he took them back to his house sinking in. She smiled to himself at how he took the couch to make her comfortable. She stood up, putting half of her hair up with the elastic on her wrist that she always wore, not like any more hair could be pulled up anyway. She walked to the bathroom and cringed at her reflection; mascara stain under her eyes and on her cheeks, her pink matte lipstick smudged on the corners of her mouth. She used a facial wash that Jeff had, using cold water to help her fully wake up. She dried up and went back to where Jeff was, kneeling down to him. She glanced at the clock before waking him up, seeing that it was 12 pm.
"Jeff," She whispered, rubbing his shoulder gently, "It's Sunday, Jeff. Let's do something." Jeff only groaned in response, extending his arm to tuck her head under his arm, nuzzling his head on hers, making her laugh. "You're going to suffocate me."
"10 more minutes, babe." Jeff mumbled, his eyes still closed. Josie sighed before kissing his cheek and getting herself out of his grip.
Already knowing his parents, Josie had no problem with letting herself downstairs. She heard the TV as she reached the last step, walking towards the living room to see Mr. Atkins watching a baseball game and Mrs. Atkins on her iPad. Josie cleared her throat, catching their attention. "Oh, Josie! Good morning, sweetheart." Jeff's mom grinned before standing up to engulf the girl in a hug.
"Good morning, Mrs. Atkins." Josie smiled, hugging her back.
"Jeff didn't say that you were staying over. Not that we have a problem but we could've made you a decent breakfast." Jeff's dad said, hugging Josie back who side hugged him as she sat beside him.
"It wasn't planned." Josie replied with a shrug.
"Go eat anything, Josie. The kitchen is all yours." Jeff's mom said.
Josie stood up, smiling at them both, "Thank you. I'll just make anything for Jeff and I. Do you guys need anything?"
"No, sweetheart, thank you." Jeff's dad replied.
Josie gave them a smile before walking towards the kitchen and taking out the ingredients to make pancakes.
Meanwhile, Jeff got out of the bathroom, rubbing his eyes, a tight white shirt hugging his upper figure with dark grey sweatpants. He got down the stairs, throwing a "Good morning" to his parents with a kiss. "Where's Jo?" He asked.
"In the kitchen." His dad replied.
Just as Jeff was about to turn away and head to the kitchen, his mother stopped him, "Hey listen, you two didn't do uh..anything, did you?" Jeff raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"She means sex." His dad said, earning a slap on the chest from his wife and a groan from Jeff.
"No, mom. We didn't." He replied.
"I don't want either of you to rush into it, alright? Make sure you trust and love her first. And be safe." Jeff's mom said, tapping his chest before sitting back down. He replied with a "Yes, mom." and went to the kitchen. It wasn't the first time his mom talked to him about this, she was frantic about it. Just as Jeff's mind was about to think about love, his eyes landed on her; Josie.
She was flipping the pancake, swaying her hips in a nonsexual way, singing to herself. Jeff leaned on the door, watching her with amusement in his eyes. It has been a month and a week since they got closer, a week since they started going out.
Josie turned to put the pancake on the 5 pancakes stack she made, seeing Jeff.
"Well, Jeez, you watch too many horror movies." She joked before putting the pan back on the stove.Jeff chuckled, moving closer to her till he wrapped his arms around her waist, giving her lips a peck. "Good morning, babe."
"Good morning, champ." Josie replied with a smile.
"Hungover?" Jeff asked.
Josie shook her head, "Not really but I still need an Advil after breakfast for a closure." Jeff nodded at this before taking the pancakes plate and giving her a fork and knife as they sat and shared their food together.
//
"Jeff, you moron!" Josie squealed as Jeff sprayed her with the hose as she was washing his car with soap.
The couple decided to wash Jeff's car which was a hard task seen as Jeff would spray Josie with water every minute that she was dripping wet.
Jeff laughed, approaching his girlfriend, "I'll stop, I'll stop. I'm sorry, babe." He wrapped his arm around her waist.
"Well, I'm not." Josie said before rubbing her soap filled hands on his face, getting white foam all over it before letting her hands fall on his shirt.
Jeff stood still, eyes closed with a smile before he attacked the girl in a hug, nuzzling his foamed face in her neck, making her squeal as they both fell on the grass. "Jeff! Stop!" Josie laughed.
He sat on top of her, wiping his face with his shirt, "Payback is a bitch."
Josie laughed, "You're a bitch, Jeff. Now get off of me, fatass."
Jeff gasped playfully, "My girlfriend is verbally abusing me."
Josie groaned playfully, "Your girlfriend will die if you keep sitting on her like she's a chair like that."
Jeff laughed before pecking her lips, "No one is dying here."
