Jeff woke up, squinting his eyes at the sunlight that roamed the room. He untangled his leg from Josie's, keeping his arm on her waist as her back was pressed against his chest, holding his hand as she slept peacefully.
It was the next morning, day two, also known as Josie's birthday. Jeff snorted at himself when he saw the wall clock, seeing that it was 8 am. He slowly took his hand out of Josie's grasp, staying still when she groaned.
He got out of bed quietly, smoothing his blue tshirt as he made his way out of the door and walked down the hallway to enter the bathroom after grabbing his toothbrush and toothpaste.
After doing his morning business, he walked outside the bathroom, seeing Liam leaning on the wall, waiting for him. "Good morning," Jeff smiled kindly.
"Fuck off." Liam muttered before entering the bathroom, slamming the door.
Jeff took a breath to calm himself before shaking his head and walking back towards where Josie slept. He saw Josie, covering her head with the cover and curled in a ball, smiling softly at her. He walked towards the closet, opening it.
Annie had told him to leave a t-shirt and sweatpants here because she was sure that this won't be the last time he'd visit them. Of course, not only did Jeff's heart, but Josie's too, flutter at what her grandma said.
He took out jeans and a red and white baseball shirt. First, he took off his sweatpants, replacing them with his jeans. He then took off his shirt.
"Why good morning to you too," He heard Josie giggle behind him. He smiled, turning to look at her. She blushed, hiding under the covers again.
"Come out, you little sneak." Jeff laughed, tackling her on the bed, trying to pry the covers off of her. Josie laughed, clenching her hands on the covers tightly, squealing when she felt Jeff beginning to tickle her. "Come out, birthday girl!"
"O-Oh my God, Jeff," She laughed, wriggling.
"Breakf-Oh, uh," Jeff stopped, looking at the door, finding Josie's 15 years old cousin, Damien, looking flustered. "Sorry, just, come downstairs when you're y'know...done. I won't tell anyone." He said quickly before closing the door and rushing outside.
Josie removed the cover from her head, her hair resembling a bird's nest. "Oh my God, he thought we were," Josie cut herself off, groaning, a blush still on her cheeks.
Jeff tried to contain his laughter but bursted out, falling on his back as he clapped. "Stop laughing, it's not funny." Josie tried to contain her smile but her voice gave it away before she laughed along with Jeff.
Jeff hovered over her, pecking her lips gently, "Happy birthday, angel." He said quietly before kissing her lips passionately.
Josie grinned when they pulled away, "Thank you." Jeff kissed her forehead before lying on his back.
