Josie sat in communication class, confused as she saw students snickering as they looked at a paper that was passed among them. Pratters passed the paper to Josie who opened it secretly under the table to not get Ms. Bradley to notice.

Her eyes landed on two.

BEST ASS:
HANNAH BAKER

WORST ASS:
JESSICA DAVIS

"What the fuck?" Josie said quietly to herself before putting the paper in front of her only to be grabbed by a student beside her. She tried to get the paper before it reached Hannah but in vain. She looked behind her, catching Alex's eyes who looked at her before looking down, making it easy for her to join the dots.

Her attention went to Hannah who crumbled the paper and threw it in the trash can only for another student to stand up and get the paper back from the trash can. Hannah sat down, hiding her face.

Class ended, Hannah rushing outside and Josie running behind her. "Hannah! Hannah, wait!"

Hannah stopped, looking at Josie, "What?"  Hannah said coldly.

Josie was taken aback by her attitude but thought that Hannah was probably just angry because of the reputation Justin glued on her and now the list. "I'm sorry about that list. I just want you to know that we're still best friends." Josie said, twiddling with her fingers.

Hannah nodded, staring at Josie, "You're a good friend, Josie, but I just need some minutes alone."

Josie nodded, watching as Hannah turned on her heel and left, "Yeah, I understand." She said quietly to herself.

Josie sat beside Jeff in the library as Clay tutored him and she did her geometry homework.

"We just need to work on structure, and you use the word "unique," like, seven times. If one thing is unique, the other six things should probably be, um - something else." Clay said.

"What's wrong with unique? If something is unique, it means it's different, right?" Jeff asked, "I'm saying this type of literature is different from other kinds of literature," He looked down at his book, "I mean it is. Isn't it, Jensen?"

Jeff and Josie looked at Clay who was staring at Angie who was listed under best lips on the list, putting on layers of lipstick. Josie rolled her eyes. "Clay," Jeff said before looking at who Clay was staring at before he realized, "Ah. You saw the list."

Clay looked at Jeff and Josie again, "She does have unique lips." Josie shrugged.

"You should get her number." Jeff said to Clay.

"I don't want her number," Clay denied which made Josie roll her eyes again, "I'm just-"

"Thinking about kissing her." Jeff finished for him which made Josie chuckle at how Jeff was teasing Clay.
