Josie pushed the door to Monet's, getting inside, warm air hugging her instantly.

Skye looked at who entered, her eyes widened at the sight before going back to normal. Josie stood in front of Skye, giving her a small smile, "Hey, Skye."

"Hey," Skye replied, eyeing Josie warily.

"I'm not going to break, Skye. Stop looking at me like that." Josie frowned, playing with her fingers.

"Yeah uh, sorry. What would you like to drink?" Skye asked.

"Hot chocolate. To go." Josie answered, getting the money out of her pocket and giving it to Skye.

"Alright. Coming right up." Skye gave Josie a pursed smile before walking away.

Josie turned, walking towards a singular table and sitting on it.

[flashback]

The four of them sat together. Josie, Hannah, Jess and Alex. And as usual, Jess was complaining about a teacher who got on her nerves.
That was when Josie spotted Jeff entering Monet's, her eyes not leaving his figure.

"Is that a crush?" Josie heard Alex say.

"It so is." Hannah laughed.

"Shut up, it's not. We just met at your party and had this bet thing over beer pong." Josie said.

"You were sitting with him during lunch break today." Jess pointed out.

"That was the bet." Josie answered, "Anyways, I gotta go. Grandma is visiting." She stood up and adjusted her backpack. "Bye guys, I love you!" and she sped off without hearing their reply.

As she was about to open the door, a hand was placed on her shoulder making her jump in her place in surprise and face the person, putting a hand on her heart as she turned to look at the person. "Oh, Jeff! Didn't see you there," Josie chuckles nervously.

Jeff grinned, "You come here often?"

"Always, actually." Josie replied.

"Were you going home? I can give you a ride." Jeff offered, holding a drink container.

Josie shook her head, "Nah, it's okay. I'll walk. It's not really a long distance."

"Nonsense. Come on. Pretty girls don't get to tire themselves out on walks back home." He grinned.

[end of flashback]

Josie smiled at the memory, looking towards the empty table where they always sat. Her and Hannah and their FML mates.

"Josie!" Skye called out, gaining Josie's attention.

Josie stood up, walking towards her and taking her drink, "Thanks, Skye."

"No problem." And with that, Skye watched Josie leave.

Josie took a sip of her drink, walking down the pathway, not aiming towards a certain place. She found herself in front of the Crestmont, looking up at it. She walked towards the back of it, sitting on the bench were she always say with Clay and Hannah during their shift break.

After sitting, Josie reached inside her bag and took out her walkman and headphones, adjusting the headphones on her head before pressing play.

"...I wanted to go home. Sheri was there and I was tipsy, I couldn't leave alone like that and at that time, I thought Sheri was being nice when she offered to take me home. So we got in the car and we left Jess's party. I was going to text my parents and tell them that a friend was giving me a ride but my phone was dead so I texted them from Sheri's phone. She was searching for her phone but that was a stupid move to do when you're driving.

Next thing I know, we h-"

"Josie!" She heard someone shout, making her pause and turn towards the sound, seeing Clay.

"Oh, I didn't see you, Clay." Josie said, watching as he stood, fidgeting with his backpack straps.

He nodded, "Figured. What uh- What are you listening to?" He pointed at her walkman, rocking back and forth on his shoe heels nervously.

"Oh uh, this?" She looked at the walkman before looking at him again, "Hannah."

"The tape she left you." He nodded.

"Yeah yeah. Wait, how do you know about this?" Josie asked, looking at him with a confused expression.

"Did she mention her leaving tapes?"

"The 13 reasons why she killed herself?" Josie asked.

Clay nodded, "I have them now. I'm on the list." He said quietly, sitting beside her.

"Wh-What? What do you mean? What list?" Josie asked nervously, turning to look at him.

"You can't tell anyone about that, alright? Not now," Clay said, Josie nodded, "She made a list of people to receive the tapes, if you're on the list, you're one of the 13 reasons why she killed herself."

"What the fuck, Clay? What have you done?" Josie asked, her eyes getting teary.

Clay shook his head rapidly, " -I loved her but I was afraid, Josie. I-I cost her her life because I was afraid." Clay teared up, his neck veins apparent.

Josie sniffled, wrapping her arms around him in a comforting hug.

"Have you-Have you heard the end of the tape you have?" Clay asked, pulling away.

Josie looked at the walkman and shook her head, "Not yet."

"Listen to it. Now. I'm going to sit here and wait."
