The whole family decided to go out for a walk, leaving Jeff and Josie alone at the house as Jeff told her that he'd be giving her his gift by the time they were alone. So, they seized the moment.

Josie squealed as Jeff swept her off her feet (the pun), carrying her bridal style. "What are you doing?" Josie laughed, looking at Jeff who was carrying her to the room where they both slept.

"I, my angel, am going to give you your gift." Jeff tilted his head, giving her a quick excited peck on her cheek.

Thoughts ran through Josie's head. Was he planning for birthday sex?

Jeff kicked the door with his foot, putting Josie gently on the bed before opening his suitcase. Josie watched him with curiosity, his hands moving rapidly between his clothes.

Jeff took the blue velvet box in his hand, grinning to himself before taking the other gift in his hand. He stood up, hiding the gifts behind his back, walking closer towards Josie before sitting in front of her on the bed. "Okaaaay," Jeff said dragging the as he looked nervously at his lap before giving Josie the jar first, putting the velvet box behind him out of her sight.

Josie grinned, looking at him confusingly as she looked at the jar full of colorful little papers. She giggled when she saw what was written on the paper stuck on it.

' Few Reasons Why I Love You' with a black colored heart.

She opened it, taking out a blue paper and opening it,

'Your sense of humor. And I love you'

and another pink paper,

'You're unique. And I love you'

'Don't get me started on your laugh. And I fucking love you'

'I've never met someone who knows me like this. I love you'

"Oh my God, Jeff," She laughed lovingly, looking at him as he looked back at her sheepishly,

"I know it's really cliché but,"

Josie shook her head, cutting him off, "But nothing. This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done to me." She looked at him, her eyes succeeding in expressing how she felt.

Jeff leaned forward, capturing her lips in a kiss, pulling away with a lip smack. Just as Josie was about to open another paper, Jeff put his hand on top of hers, stopping her, "Before you go on with these, there's something else I wanna give you."

Jeff held the blue velvet box in his hand, putting it in front of them. He opened the box and Josie gasped, putting her hand on her mouth in surprise, "This necklace is-is a daily reminder. For this year and the next one and every other following year. These three rings mean three words. I love you." Jeff looked into Josie's eyes, nothing but genuineness rolling off his tongue.

You wouldn't be human if you hadn't teared while someone did that to you and that's exactly what Josie did. Tears welled up her eyes as Jeff took the necklace in his hands, standing up and walking past her a little, putting it on for her before leaning down to kiss her shoulder.

Josie looked down at the necklace that reached her neckline, putting her hand on the rings

Josie looked down at the necklace that reached her neckline, putting her hand on the rings. Jeff sat in front of her again, closer this time with his hands on her knees, watching her with a grin.

Josie looked up at him before throwing herself at him, putting her lips on his, Jeff falling back onto the bed. He put his hands on her head, pulling her closer to him as she lied on top of him. They pulled away for a second to catch their breath before pressing their lips against each other again. Jeff held her waist before flipping them, him straddling her this time.

The rest is history.

She went under the covers, Jeff smiling as he stood back and admired the view. He shook his head, not believing that he was in this state right now. A great girl by his side, happy, nothing wrong happening. It was everyone's goal to be happy and it was safe to say that Jeff Atkins reached it.

He went under the covers with her, Josie putting her head on his chest, her hand on his chest. Jeff drew figures of swirls on her back, both of them quiet.

Josie tilted her head up, looking at him with love. He was beautiful. Everything about him was beautiful. "I love you, Jeff Atkins." Josie said quietly with a tired smile.

Jeff looked down at her, a goofy grin on his face, "And I love you, Josie Blair."

Jeff Atkins was Josie Blair's first. First kiss, first boyfriend, first time and first I love you.
