Jeff and Josie entered the gymnasium, Josie's hands wrapped around Jeff's bicep. Tony was the DJ for the night, playing some upbeat music, teenagers dancing wildly to it.

"Oh my God, Josie, you look absolutely beautiful." Courtney Crimson approached the couple, hugging the short haired girl who faked a smile.

"Thanks, Courtney. You look nice, too." Josie said, pulling away from the hug and putting her hands around Jeff's biceps again.

"Well that was a fake smile." Jeff chuckled, wrapping his arm around Josie's waist as Courtney left.

"I don't really like her. She's sly." Josie said.

"Jeff Atkins! Looking good, my friend!" The couple heard, seeing Bryce walking towards them before he hugged Jeff, patting him on the back, Jeff faking a smile.

"You too, Bryce." Jeff answered as he pulled away from the awkward hug.

Bryce, who appeared to be drunk, looked at Josie, not being discreet as he looked at her up and down, "Josie, baby, you look good."

Jeff rolled his eyes, pulling Josie close to his chest as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Thanks, Bryce but I'd rather you not call me baby. Good talk." Josie smiled sarcastically before taking Jeff's hand and walking towards the dance floor.

Jeff tugged on her hand, making her look before he pulled her to him, wrapping his arms around her waist, a smirk on his face. Josie smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck as they both swayed to the slow music. "Well that was a fake smile." Josie joked, mentioning Jeff's smile to Bryce.

"He can be too much sometimes." Jeff said.

"Is Clay coming?" Josie asked.

Jeff nodded, "He lost a bet to yours truly."

"Who ever wins a bet with you?" Josie rolled her eyes, smiling.

"My dad." Jeff answered, making Josie furrow her eyebrows in confusion, "We had this bet. I said I couldn't do something and he said that I can. This, right now, is a proof that he won."

"You bet with your dad on me?" Josie chuckled, surprised.

"This is embarrassing, I don't know why I told you about that." Jeff laughed embarrassingly, looking down at his shoes.

"Noooo," Josie laughed, putting her hands on his cheeks, "Admit it, Jeff Atkins, you were my secret admirer." She teased him.

"I wasn't even a secret one, you were so fucking oblivious. I even went too much as bump into you several times in the hallway." Jeff laughed.

Josie grinned before capturing Jeff's lips in a passionate kiss. Both of them smiling as they kissed before Josie burst out laughing, pulling away. "You'll never let this story go, will you?" Jeff smiled, wrapping his arms around her.
