~Harry's POV~
The car was eerily quiet as I pulled into Sam's driveway. She had fallen asleep shortly after I had placed her in the car. She refused to talk to me, instead just looking out the window, tears falling down her face, until she slowly fell asleep. It killed me, receiving the silent treatment. I'd much rather her chew me out for me an inconsiderate asshole than cry to herself silently.
I hated seeing girls cry. I always felt so power less. I never knew what to say or do and I just seemed to make everything that much worse. But seeing Sam cry, knowing I was the reason behind it, brought back so many memories. Ones I wish I could forget but never seemed able to.
I always seemed to fuck up somehow.
I took a deep breath, my hands clenching onto the steering wheel tightly before releasing it.
"Samantha, we're here," I announced softly, looking over at her as she slept against the window. I quietly opened my car door, climbing out before walking over to her side and opening her's. Since her head was leaning on the door window, she woke up at the loss of her pillow.
"Harry?" She asked, her voice groggy from being half asleep. I smiled slightly hearing my name come from her mouth. Her American accent sounding so much more alluring, just waking up. I placed one arm behind her back the other cupping her legs as I hoisted her out of the car.
"We're at your house, I'm going to take you in, okay?" I informed softly, not wanting to wake her up fulling.
She just nodded her head sleepily, "Okay," She confirmed softly, wrapping her arms around my neck, resting her head on my shoulder.
"Go back to sleep," I instructed quietly, kissing the top of her head as I made my way up to her door, struggling as I opened it. I shut the front door using my foot before ascending the stair case, headed towards her room when a voice stopped me.
"Sam?" A voice called out from the kitchen, catching me off guard as my head shot that direction just in time to see her father peering from around the corner. I was too focused on getting Sam into the house, to remember her parents were supposed to be home tonight let alone that their cars were in the driveway.
"Harry, right?" Her dad spoke, looking at me as I held a sleeping Sam in my arms.
I nodded my head curtly, "Yeah, sorry for just barging in she was asleep and I didn't want to wake her-" I started to explain when he cut me off.
"It's alright son, just put her in her room and come down for a chat, eh?" He said, a smile on his face. I nodded before continuing my journey up the stairs. I walked down the hallway until I came to her bedroom, which luckily still had the door open. I just walked on in, carefully setting her on the bed, before carefully pulling off her converse and setting them on the floor.
Apparently, I didn't do such a great job at that due to the brown eyes gazing at me as I pulled the covers over her body.
"Are you okay?" I asked softly, while looking down at her. I frowned slightly seeing her tear stain cheeks and red rimmed eyes. I did that to her.
She nodded her head slowly, before letting out a yawn causing me to chuckle.
"Get some sleep okay, love?" I whispered bending down to press a kiss to her forehead. I smiled down at her when I saw that her eyes were already closed, a small smile on her face. I got up from her bed, careful not to make her wake up again and began making my way towards the door. Just as I was about to exit the room, a small angelic voice spoke up. The one I could never get tired of hearing.
"Good night, Harry," Her small, quiet voice spoke causing me to smile almost instantly.
"Night, love," I called back before closing the door.
