at school, shayla and nicole are interrogating renesmee. they've heard about her little date with declan.
"it was not a date!" renesmee tries to defend herself, but she can't. because every time she speaks about declan, or even thinks about him, she blushes, like a tomato. more like millions of poppies scattered across her cheeks.
just like now.
"ahhh!" both shayla and nicole squeal, when they see their friend blushing and giggling like a little girl on her first day of kindergarten.
"stop it!" renesmee can't stop laughing.

just then declan comes into the classroom and takes his place next to renesmee.
