Don't Tell

Tessa's POV

The next morning I woke up, Jakes arms were still wrapped around me. He made me feel safe, I never wanted him to let go. Erika walked past my room noticing that I was awake.

Erika: "Hey T how are you feeling"

Tessa: "I'm fine I guess. I don't really know"

Erika: "Do you think we can talk? I never got to talk to you after last night"

Tessa: "Uh I guess so"

I got up from my bed and we walked to Erika's room. We both sat on her bed.

Erika: "Tessa, why didn't you tell us that you were so upset"

Tessa: "I don't know. I guess I just felt like it didn't matter "

Erika: "It obviously does matter. You were so upset you tried to kill yourself'

Tessa: "It wasn't that bad at first, but then I tried to prevent it by staying off social media but people kept finding ways to get it to me. And when I heard the person say it in person it was just so different."

Erika: "Tessa why didn't you reach out for help"

Tessa: "Because I didn't need help"

Erika: "Tessa you were cutting your wrists and then you tried to end your life you did need help"

Tessa: "How did you know about the cutting?"

Erika: "Look at your wrists Tessa. They are covered in cuts"

A tear fell from my eye and landed on my wrist. Erika pulled me into a tight hug. Erika really does care about me.

Tessa: "Erika?" I said sniffling

Erika: "Yeah T?"

Tessa: "Can you not tell anyone else about this? Especially not my mom"

Erika: "Your mom needs to know T"

Tessa: "Please don't or at least not yet"

Erika: "why though"

Tessa: "I don't know. I just don't want her to know because I don't want her to freak and make me move home"

Erika: "Tessa, I can't just not tell your mom that you tried to kill yourself"

Tessa: "Please Erika"

Erika: "I will wait a little but she has to know at some point"

Tessa: "Okay fine..."

I got up and walked to my room. When I walked in Jake was laying on my bed on his phone. I went and laid next to him. He put his arms around me and put his chin on my head.

Tessa: "Jake?"

Jake: "Yeah Tessa?"

Tessa: Did you really mean it when you said I was the love of your life last night?
