Recovery

Tessa's POV
I woke up the morning after my surgery and I was in my own bed. My throat hurt really badly and I was hungry but I couldn't tell for anyone and I wasn't really sure where my phone was. I waited a little while and then Jake came into my room. He had a glass of tea and a bowl of apple sauce for me. He sat next to me.

Jake: "Does your throat hurt?"

I nodded my head yes.

Jake: "A lot?"

I nodded my head yes again

Jake: "I'm sorry babe wanna watch some Netflix or something?"

I nodded my head yes again. He pulled out his computer and put on a movie. We sat in my bed and snuggled for hours watching Netflix together. It makes me kinda sad that I can't do anything for a week. I can't even talk, but Jake said he would stay with me until I get better.

The rest of the week was full of me eating ice cream and watching Netflix in bed. After a week I could finally start talking but it still hurt to eat anything other than ice cream.

Week later
Tessa's POV
It's been a week since my surgery and I can finally talk. I still only eat soup and ice cream but I can actually do stuff. I walked downstairs to the kitchen and Jake was in there. I walked over and gave him a hug

Tessa: "Hi babe"

Jake: "I missed hearing your beautiful voice"

He kissed me.

Jake: "So wanna get food?"

Tessa: "I can still only eat ice cream. Haha"

Jake: "Well get dressed and we will go get ice cream"

I ran upstairs and put some shorts and a sweatshirt on then went back down stairs. We got in Jake's car and drive to get some ice cream.
