Tessa's POV
It's been about a week since Erika had her surgery she went back to Michigan for a few weeks so her mom could take care of her. I have been losing my voice a lot lately and had a sore throat. I went down to the kitchen to make some tea for my throat and Jake was in there.

Jake: "Hey babe"

Tessa: "Hi" I whispered

Jake: "Are you still not feeling well?"

I shook my head saying no.

Jake: "Will you please go to urgent care babe?"

Tessa: "I guess... can we go now?"

Jake: "Yea I will drive"

Jake and I walked out of the house and got in his car and drove to Urgent care. We got there and I checked in at the desk and then we went and sat in the waiting room. I leaned against Jake and put my head on his shoulder. We waited for like 15 mins and then a nurse called us back. I told her everything that had been happening and then she did a few tests to check my throat and then went to get the doctor. We waited a few minutes and then the doctor came in with the results.

Doctor: "So Tessa... it looks here like you have tonsillitis. You need to get your tonsils take out immediately!"

Jake: "When do you want her to do it?"

Doctor: "I mean tomorrow would be ideal"

Jake: "Okay what time?"

Doctor: "I can do it at 3?"

Jake: "Okay we will see you there"

We got up and walked out to the car. Jake gave me a big hug and kissed the top of my head.

Jake: "You're going to be alright babe. Don't worry"

He drove me home and I went straight up to my room. I sat on my bed and tears formed In my eyes. I was so scared. I heard a knock on the door then Jake walked in. We sat down next to me and put his arms around me.

Jake: "What's wrong babe"

Tessa: "I'm... I'm just scared"

Jake: "You will be alright. I will be at the hospital waiting for you the whole time and I will be here to take care of you after"

I put my head on his shoulder.

Jake: "And after you get to eat all the green tea ice cream you want"

Jake knew I loved green tea ice cream.

Tessa: "Can you tell everyone. My throat hurts too much"

Jake: "Of course babe. Let's go down and tell them"
