Regrets

Tessa's POV

I was just in the kitchen heating up one of my meals when my phone started to ring. I looked to see who it was and it was my mom. I picked up my phone and answered it.

Tessa: "Hi Mom"

Laurie: "Hi Tessa, what's up"

Tessa: "Nothing really I'm just heating up some food"

Laurie: "Ooo Nice, So how have you been doing?"

Tessa: "I'm doing great mom"

Laurie: "Okay Tessa, now we both know that is not true"

Tessa: "What do you mean?"

Laurie: "I have been talking to Erika, I know you have been getting really upset about it"

Tessa: "I'm fine..."

Laurie: :Tessa I know you tried to kill yourself last night"

Tessa: "I told Erika not to tell you ugh"

Laurie: "Don't be mad at her she did the right thing telling me. But why Tessa? Was it really that bad?"

Tessa: "Yes mom it was. It was really bad. I was trying to avoid it but people found ways to get the hate to me. And when I heard the person at the movie theater I just really couldn't handle it anymore"

Laurie: "Why didn't you tell me or one of your friends"

Tessa: "I don't know it just didn't seem like a problem that could be fixed by other people"

Laurie: "Tessa who cares what they think they don't know you, and all the people that know you love you. If you were to actually do that me, your sisters, your step dad, and all of team 10 would be devastated. And the haters would've won, you would've given them what they wanted"

Tessa: "I know, I was just already in a really fragile place and I just got pushed a little too far. I'm glad Jake saved me. I'm glad I'm alive."

Laurie: "I'm happy to hear that honey"

Tessa: "I will talk to you tomorrow mom, love you bye"

Laurie: "Bye honey love you"

I hung up the phone. I walked into the office where jake was working.

Tessa: "Jake"

Jake: "Yeah Tessa what's up"

Tessa: "I just wanted to say thank you, thank you for saving me, thank you for comforting me, thank you for everything"

Jake: "Aw Tessa, you don't have to thank me for those things"

Tessa: "Yeah I do, if it wasn't for you I would be dead right now"

He got up from his desk and walked over to me. He pulled me into a tight hug.

Tessa: "And Jake?"

Jake: "Yeah?"

Tessa: "I love you"

Jake: "I love you too Tessa"

I looked up at Jake and he looked back at me. I don't even know how it happened but 2 seconds later I was kissing him. We pull apart.

Tessa: "I'm sorry, I don't know why I did that"

Jake: "I'm glad you did"

We look at each other and we kiss again.
