Too scared

Tessa's POV
I followed Jake out of the room and into his room. He sat down on his bed and put his head in his hands. I sat next to him and put my arm around him.

Tessa: "Are you okay babe?"

Jake: "I just... I don't know..."

Tessa: "What's wrong? Is this about me and Anthony?"

Jake: "It makes me upset that he likes you. I don't wanna lose you"

Tessa: "I would never leave you for him babe"

Jake: "But you liked him"

Tessa: "Yea but all those feelings are gone now. The only person I have feeling for is you"

I rested my head on his shoulder.

Jake: "Can we go do something to get my mind off this"

Tessa: "Yea. Wanna get food or see a movie or something?"

Jake: "Food and a movie?"

Tessa: "Yea let's go"

We got up and got in the team 10 van. We drove to get some food then right after drove to the grove to see the movie. Jake decided to pick a scary one and he knows I get scared easily. The whole movie I was jumping out of my seat. I sat through the whole movie but by the time we left I was so scared. We drove home and walked back in the house.

We walked up the stairs and went into our rooms. I put on a oversized sweatshirt on and sat on my bed. I was way too scared to go to sleep. I walked into Jake's room and he was asleep.

Tessa: "Jake..." I whispered "I'm too scared to sleep"

Jake: "Come here babe"

Jake scooted over and I got in bed next to him. He put his arm around me hugging me tight.

Jake: "better?" He whispered in my ear

Tessa: "I mean yea... but I'm still too scared to sleep"

Jake: "What do you want me to do babe?"

Tessa: "I don't know... what would help me go to sleep?"

Jake: "I don't know babe? You want a snack or something?"

That's the last thing I heard Jake say before I fell asleep in his arms.
