"Mere! Wake up! You're going to be late for your recital!!" I woke up with practically a heart attack. I completely forgot about my recital, the one day I've been waiting for ever! I swear, I've been practicing for this violin recital since I've been 7 years old, and it's been 10 years that I've been working my ass off for this. It's finally time for me to show my talents.
"Mere? Where are you? I called you five minutes ago! " my mom calls from my hallway. As she walks in, she just looks at me as if I dropped from the sky. "Mere? Are you just sitting and day dreaming again? Come on sweetheart! We have a huge day ahead of us! "
I make my way to the bathroom and as soon as I'm done with my business, I just stare into the mirror. Am I ready for a day like this? I have to go to school first but then I have to go to our auditorium at school because this huge violinist wants to see me play, and maybe offer me a spot at his school.... But let's no jinx cause' I'm super excited.
I finish brushing my teeth and flossing as a million thoughts rush through my brain.
....................
My dad drops me off at school with a quick kiss as I run into class before first period starts. My best friends Alexandra and Bethany meet me in the hallway as our teacher unlocks the door. (We go to a private school, so many things are kept secured. ) We run over the things we have to get done before the recital and head to class. I was so excited for this day to come, little did I know that this day was going to change my life forever.
