First and second period went by rather
quicker
than usual. Maybe because we were given free periods and all we did was talk about the recital.
"So we head to the auditorium at around 1 pm so we miss about two hours of school just to prepare," Alexandra said with a smile filled with excitement. "Yup, and the first violinist has to prepare as fast as possible to practice her special song," Bethany said with a wink. "Guys, I love how you guys are giving me so much attention," I said with a small laugh. "But let's leave all the compliments for the end. And I'm telling you I have never been so happy and I've never had such a good feeling for something in my life! " All of started laughing at my enthusiasm.

" Excuse me teachers, may I please have Meredith Brooks come down to the school office please, " came out the school speakers. I was never called to the school office, so I was very nervous but I had a good feeling that it was something about the recital.
I walked down the stairs and down the hallway. As soon as I came into the school office everyone looked at me with sympathy. I was quite confused since I had no idea what was going on. All of a sudden Bethany and Alexandra rush through the door and quickly take the principle to the side and whispered something in her ear. She nodded and my best friends pulled me out through the door and took me outside.
"What's going on? " I asked them. Beth and Alex just stare at me, then look at each other, and then stared at me again. "What. Is. Going. On?" I asked again with about every bit of anger I could show. "Mere, we want you to know, that no matter what. And I mean no matter what, we are always there for you. Even if it seems as if there's nothing else in the world there for you, as if everything is just falling apart, we are always there for you. Now go, they need to tell you something that may change your life," says Beth.
Beth and Alex bring me back into the office and give me a quick warm hug and pushed me back inside the still room. "Miss Brooks, we have some news you must know immediately," says Principle Waters. "What's that?" I say with a nervous smile.
"Ms. Brooks, your family is dead. "
And that's when my heart stopped and the whole world seems to stop.
