Chapter 63

Maya's POV

I ran into the room when I found Meredith on the hospital bed. Meredith seems to be serious about something as she talks to Cameron, whose sitting on the edge of the bed.

Why do I have a feeling this boy fucked something up again? I had a feeling he would do something like this, especially when he proposes to her. Right when everything was going perfect, he found a way to fuck something up.

Meredith looked like she was about to cry, but she was keeping everything in, not trying to break her strength.

I took Cameron by his collar from the back and dropped my purse to the floor right when Mark came in.

"WHOA WHOA WHOA, babe, what's going on??" Mark, why are you not taking an hour to park like you usually do? Ugh.

Ignoring what he has to say, I continue my business with Cameron. I push him again the wall, and go straight to his face.

"What did you do now?" I couldn't have been more damn serious than I was at that moment.

"Let go of me, and Meredith will explain to you, since nobody would've cared about what I had to say anyways. "

"Don't try to get sympathy out of my asswipe. I want to hear from you right now." He was really starting to aggravate me right now.

That's when Mere opened her mouth, despite how weak she's been, she chose to say something.

"Please, can we all calm down." She tried to sit up properly, but failed at it when Kale walked in and helped her sit up.

"What's going on?" He asks when he sees me with Cameron; really close to murdering him.

Everyone started to mumble to each other and I was just standing there, my fist still holding on to Cameron's striped shirt, ready to push him harder against the wall any second.

"THE WEDDING IS FUCKING OFF. OKAY?" Now Meredith was pissed like me, and one small tear fell down her pink cheek.

Everyone finally calmed down, and Meredith took one of her arms, all tangled in different IV tubes and hospital wristbands and wiped her tear away.

This girl was being very strong.

Officer Jenna's POV

I walked into the hospital room where the atmosphere seemed a bit tense.

I recognized Cameron and Kale, along with Meredith on the hospital bed. Kale called me earlier, saying what had happened to Meredith and I immediately asked to be a part the case, to find out what really happened with Stephanie or whatever that girl's name was.

During my break I chose to visit Meredith, and here I am.

Meredith seemed to be in a rough position, but as soon as I walked in a smile tugged at her lips.

"It's been so long since I last saw your Officer Jenna, I missed you." Poor thing seemed so week, I felt terrible. I was standing at the door, when everyone noticed that Meredith was staring at me, everyone moved their heads towards me as well.

I didn't even noticed Cameron being pushed against a wall by a young woman maybe near my age, in her late twenties.

"What's going on here?" My inner police woman came out.

Meredith slowly came out of her bed, but everyone told her to stay and rest, yet she wouldn't listen. She held on to the wall and anything near her to get balance to come near me. She told everyone to leave her alone, and took me outside into the hallway.

That's when she started to explain everything that's happened.

HAII PEEPS! I will not be finishing Wild Hearts anytime soon (hopefully) but I won't be updating as much since now I have like three books to update. I'll definitely try to update every week at least once. And now that it's summer, I'm more busy! So no promises, but I'll try. I'm going to be in London starting Saturday, so I don't know if I can update for the next two weeks because I will be touring around all over Europe!
