Chapter 53

Meredith's POV

I woke up to see the sunlight shining through the transparent white curtains and the birds chirping. I notice I'm still in Cameron's arms, with nothing but a blanket covering us. I turn around to see the clock with the time of 9:45 blinking and the- 9:45. Holy shit I was late.

I quickly got out of the bed and ran to the bathroom and put some clothes on. I brushed my teeth and combed my hair and ran around the apartment like a mad woman trying to find things to freshen up. Cameron sat up in his bed and yawned as I went from room to room.

"Baby....?" He says as he stretched his arms out.

"Look, I'm late. I gotta run. Sorry Cam."

"Cam..? What happened to babe?"

"Look.... Babe. I have to go, I'm late for classes. I have an hour to go to the dorm and get ready. "

He finally got off of the bed.

"I'll take you, let me just get something to wear. " he said in his morning voice. I just stood there as his bare body went to the closet to get a t-shirt, boxers, and jeans. I couldn't help but stare. His back was facing me so he didn't notice. I just looked at how his body was so perfectly, perfectly made. He went into the bathroom to brush his teeth and I just thought about his morning voice. How it seemed a bit rough but it felt so soothing to hear.

He snapped his fingers at me which brought me back to reality.

"Oh sorry, let's go." I said as I got embarrassed and my cheeks felt as if they were on fire. I ran out of the room and walked quickly down the hall to the elevator.

I waited for him as he casually walked up behind me and held my hand as we waited for the two metal doors to open.

He then came near my ears.

"So how was last night?" He whispered and I could hear the smirk he had on.

My cheeks felt hotter, as if they were burning. And before I could say something stupid, the doors opened and we walked in.

"Baby...?" He asked.

"It was amazing." I said with a little boost of confidence that I got when I saw my stuffed elephant key chain on my messenger bag.... I wonder how that got there.

"You were... Different last night."

"I was?" I felt a bit shocked when he said, I didn't know what he was taking about.

"Yeah, you were more confident and... You seemed to be more of a bad ass." He said as his fingers went through his hair.

Oh now I know what he was talking about. Well sorry for trying something new.

"Well, is that bad?"

He shook his head.

"Absolutely not. I loved it."

Phew. Thank God.

We walked out of the elevator and out to the main lobby. I had less than an hour to go to the apartment and get to my classes so we had to run.

I pulled him towards his car and got in. It took us about five minutes to get to the dorms and I ran out if the car when we got to my dorm building as Cameron waited outside.

I ran through the doors and scrambled through my purse to find the student pass. Another two minutes there, wasted. I finally found the keys in the side pocket just sticking out when I went through the whole bag. Go figure.

I scanned the laminated card and went into the elevator and ran down the hall towards my room. I got my keys out of my purse rather easily and walked in. Calypso was in the bed with someone. Holy....

I walked in and didn't want to disturb their... Little world, so I went in quietly. I didn't expect Calypso to be this type of girl. Even though I kind of was... God know I feel fucked up.

I went besides her bed and went to get my textbooks that were lying on the floor. Then I accidentally knocked down Calypso's mug all over the floor. Great.

Calypso and her lover got up in surprise and they weren't the only ones "surprised" here. I would've fainted if Cameron didn't walk in the door.

My brother was in bed with Calypso. What in the world happened?!?!?

"What the hell are you doing here?!" I ask half shouting.

"Fuck," is all he said as he got out of bed only in his boxers.

"Goddamn Kale." Cameron said shaking his head. He came next to me and put his hand on my eyes. I took put his hand down and just stared at him with the 'wtf are you doing' face. He gave me his 'sorry' face and held my hand.

"Look, I came to talk to you about something-"

"You're in bed with my roommate. How are you here to talk to me about something? And besides I'm late for my classes. "

"Meredith Brooks you have a half hour left. " he gave me a weird face.

"Yeah no. I need to get Starbucks. Talk to me after you're clean and I'm done with my classes." I said as I walked out.
