Chapter 11

As soon as we parted, we had a moment of silence. Not awkward silence. Just peaceful silence. Then his butt beeped. Ruining the amazing moment.

"oh, umm I should let you sleep. It's late. Uh, night Mere. " he said as he looked at his phone and quickly put it away.

"Uhh, sure. Umm night. " I said with a small kiss on his cheek and went into my room.

BLAKE POV

I wish I could tell Meredith the truth, but I can't. I wish I could tell her, that her parents are still alive, but I can't. I do love her a lot, but this is something I can't do. I wasn't supposed to like her, but I can't go back now. I care for her too much to turn back now, especially after asking her out about a half hour ago.

Meredith's dad, is my boss. I'm working for him over the summer with a paid internship since he's one of the biggest CEOs of one of the biggest communication device companies out there. It was a great opportunity. I couldn't let it down, but I swear I would've if I knew what I was putting myself through. Jackson Matthews was a nice guy and all, but he had too many dark secrets that just one guy wouldn't have been able to handle. So, he needed help clearly, and as his intern, I'm his help. He's done things in the past a man shouldn't have, and now it's catching up to him.

I checked who texted me, and noticed it was Jackson. Which was the reason why I had to leave Mere back in the hall and give her the lame excuse for her to go to bed. The text read:

Call me when you're alone as soon as possible.

So instead of getting fired, I decided to call him.

"Blake, we need to talk. " Jackson said as soon as the first ring sounded when he picked up the phone.

"What is it?"

" I don't have time to tell you everything, but we're in trouble. Someone found out about everything I've been trying so damn hard to hide for so long. You better try your best to keep everything the same, and -"

"HURRY THE FUCK UP. " said some man in the back.

"Please Blake, I'm counting on you. " and then the line went dead.

I don't know how I should describe the man in the background's voice, rebellious, mischievous, notorious? I don't know how to describe it.

Badass.

Just hearing the man's voice made me shiver, I wonder how Jackson will survive something like that. My mind was all over the place, not knowing what to do next. Who knew things like this could happen on the happiest place on earth, DisneyLand? I know for sure, that this is not the way I expected it to be all my childhood. I expected to spend my time here with my one true love, all though I spent it with Meredith all day, tonight was a bit different than I imagined.
