Chapter 64

Kale's POV

As soon as Meredith and Officer Jenna went outside the room, a whole riot started inside. Maya was very close to kicking Cameron's ass, but like always, I had to stop them because Mark was too stupid to stop his fiancé.

"Guys, the wedding is off because Cameron likes someone else now." I said looking straight at Maya with the face saying that she better calm the fuck down before something worse happens.

"This-" Maya started but didn't go on when Mark held her hand tightly.

"How could you?" Mark stared into Cameron with disbelief.

"It's not my fault I started having feelings for Stephanie-" Cameron got cut off by Officer Jenna as she stepped back into the room with Meredith.

Meredith looked like she got shot again, this time straight in the heart once she heard that Stephanie was the reason her life was turned upside down.

"You like Stephanie?" Officer Jenna asked, causing the whole room have an anticipating feeling of what was yet to become of the conversation.

"Stephanie?" Officer Jenna continued. "The one who shot your fiancé? The one who could've killed Meredith? The one who had the intention of killing the girl you have been with for the past five years?"

Cameron stood against the wall, staring at his shoes in shame.

"Yes...But I didn't-"

"Get out." Meredith finally spoke up.

"But Mere-"

"No, I want you to leave please."

"Meredith I still love-"

"Get. The. Fuck. Out." She opened the door for Cameron to walk out, and when he wouldn't move out of surprise, I took him by the arm myself and took him out.

I took him outside and he seemed like he didn't know what just happened.

"Cam, what'd you expect? The girl loved you, and you loved her, everything was going perfect until you chose that you liked your ex who ruined Mere's life."

He finally looked up at me, and I could tell there was sorry in his eyes, but I don't think Meredith would fall for it ever again. I think she was done with his bullshit. To be quite honest, I was done with my best friend's bullshit as well.

I just wish he could've seen Meredith the way I saw my beautiful Calypso, I couldn't love anyone but her. I thought she was my whole world, and I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to find anyone more beautiful than her.

I believe Cameron felt that way at one point, but if he truly did, he wouldn't have had any feelings whatsoever for Stephanie. It's just not possible.

Meredith's POV

Stephanie. This idiot liked Stephanie.

He promised me this whole time he wouldn't love anyone but me, but now he liked Stephanie? After he proposes to me?

I'm done. I took a bullet for him for God's sake, but I'm not taking this anymore. I'm moving on. Moving on for the better.

I graduated, I'm 21, and I have an amazing family and amazing friends, I don't need Cameron Davis. All I need is myself with a good head on my shoulders. I couldn't let this get to me.
